The most annoying part about having hair as a Black woman is white peoples’ commentary on your hair. Every new hairstyle must be commented on and that’s enough to make you wanna pick an NPC do and wear it forever. It’s to the point where I get irritated by even a simple compliment. 😩 because you never know when “your hair looks so cool!” Will be followed up by “have you ever seen Black Panther?” Fucking duh, I have!!! 🫩

The internet has introduced me to the concept of Black Fatigue. When I saw that phrase I assumed it meant the fatigue you feel at being Black (because of Amerikkka) imagine my surprise when I found out it was coined by the whites being fatigued by Black people talking about #microaggressions we experience. I need that real strict 2020 woke back cuz this too much!

I couldnt let the #bantuknot discourse keep me from styling them because it was so hot and I had to get this hair up off my neck and keep it there. It was either this or shave my head.

Sucks because hair experimentation is rather limited for me these days, at least where color is concerned. So then for all the joy to be taken out of doing different hairstyles is rly quite something. (Derogatory) I took to bleaching my body hairs in addition to my pits and eyebrows. Apparently this is a practice in Brazil called banho de lua.

Someone in a tiktok comment section mentioned bleaching bushes which inspired me, only I was scared to do the whole thing on such delicate skin so I only did my bikini lines and the bleach didn’t take fully so I ended up with two readheaded stepchildren where my thighs meet my mons and the rest was black and it looked crazy as hell so I went back and bleached the whole thing and now it looks even crazier, like I got little orphan Annie between my legs 😭

I told my friends at our pool day and @ques_adiya said “I was wondering but I wasn’t gonna ask” and I said “My dear, you can always ask me anything!”
