i have been thinking about everything that makes me and it is a list too long to write down anywhere but in every day of my life. it is all these things and yet some more. it is in the way my heart feels so full when i hear my friends laugh, in the way I feel a hot spike on anger when someone is being mean, in the way i struggle not to roll my eyes when someone asks how i can find reading interesting. what makes me me can never be listed out because it is bits and pieces from every person i love, have loved and will love in the future, every book that crosses my path, every movie i cry to at 2am. what makes me me is so inherently bound to everything around me and isn't that true for everyone? we are all connected by threads- some thick, some fraying, some held together with duct tape and hope. and i just-- don't you feel so full when you think of it?

have been meaning to make this reel for so long and then we rushed it 20 minutes before the sun set fully 🤡

me: i postpone things for the absolute last moment because i do my best job when i am stressed.

ANYWAY I WENT AND CAMPED AT GAYI'S PLACE LAST WEEK AND IT WAS THE BEST TIME EVER. 10/10 recommend having best friends living in pretty places with a lotta books (I stole 2)

Little did I know that the hostel we booked would end up having the perfect cat cafe vibes to match my holiday read.
I got to design the edge for this book for the wonderful @ruinedbyfiction and of all the edges I have designed for them, the Heather Fawsett collection has a special place in my heart. So I had Sanjana send it over and am i soooo happy i did cause it came just in time for my trip to Shoja and @jaaniscafe turned out to be the cutest and most wholesome cat cafe/hostel tucked away in a quiet corner of the mountains.

if i don't get at least one saturday per month with @gayaillustrates , i would lose my mind. it's quite literally, science. i will not be entertaining any arguments.

✨HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAYYY✨
- literally went traipsing through a shady alleyway to get my blouses stitched and not gonna lie, the best shops are always those tucked atop some rickety stairs and look like they're doing some shady dealings in there.
- went to kuuraku for lunch and i could literally eat 12 plates of their prawn tempura AND STILL WANT MORE.
- went to the extremely hyped (this should have been a red flag) moore market bookstore on knk and was sorely disappointed. yes yes, pretty corners to take pictures but where was the functionality? not enough seats. not enough books. NOT ENOUGH AIR. please for the love of god, what's the point of pretty if I am SUFFOCATING IN THE CRAMPED SPACE?
- WE TOOK PICTURES OF OURSELVES AND FELL IN LOVE WITH OURSELVES. guys, golden hour is for brown girls.
- also i absolutely loved my outfit in every angle 🤌🏻

happy women's day

see, i had this cool caption in my mind but i started editing the photos and then i got emotional because god, where would i be without the women in my life? i get why ruby started crying when she said "oh, how i love being a woman." because i do, i really do. the world isn't kind to women, it isn't fair but look at us, still refusing to be caged. to the ones, who were told to sit down and shut up, but who stood up and raged anyway, here's to you, here's to us 🥂

weekly vlog | jan '26, week 3

IT WAS A HOLIDAY WEEK BUT SO HECTIC OMG. i did my first public kathak performance yay, i kept up with my everyday arting (SO PROUD OF MYSELF), got dragged to temples by my mother, went to the book fair and tried to exercise restraint 😂 and best of all, met gayi @gayaillustrates and we did the small gifts in each colour trend (you'll see a funny video soon 😂) ANYWAY, that was my week 3 of the year. how was yours?

" So many books, so little time".. 126 stories, a thousand lives lived, and far too many fictional crushes later, my 2025 reading journey is complete. From the spice of Romantasy to the cold chills of a murder mystery, these are the ones that stayed with me.
