⛓️ I WANT TO SEE YOUR BOOK LISTS 🪲

⊱ ۫ ׅ ✧ i really do. my tbr is never ending and the only thing i hate about booklists is that they make me want to read more books when i know i don’t have enough time in my life to read everything ever.

⊱ ۫ ׅ ✧ booktwt and bookstagram are two very different places, but it seems that no matter what platform we frequent, people are going to find something to be unnecessarily angry with…

⊱ ۫ ׅ ✧ go check out j.c.’s post to see their entire opinion on the matter!

⊱ ۫ ׅ ✧ bookstagram has diversified my reading not only by introducing me to more indie authors, but also to authors of different races, nationalities, sexualities, gender experiences, and disabilities. i already do my best to expand my reading, but i wouldn’t have ever been able to find these books without the help of bookstagram.

THE HOLY TRINITY ✨

@virgo.who.reads, @jess_reads_that, @bookgobblin & @ashreadsitall tagged me in this post so I immediately got to work! This was such a fun challenge so I’m tagging some besties to also play along but no pressure!

QOTD: what’s your favorite sub-genre listed above?

Summerween is dwindling down so, I complied a list of some spooky book recommendations to match whatever Summerween vibe you’re going for 👻

✨(I read Fantasticland YEARS ago & was fortunate enough to meet @mikebockoven at @hauntthereaders. He was so charismatic & energetic & friendly - it made me love and appreciate Fantasticland that much more. Also made me pick up his other books😂)

✨(The Wellness Retreat by @dawnkurtagich doesn’t come out until Sept 8th but it’s on NetGalley! I just got approved yesterday)

✨(What Feeds the Lake could have obv also gone under ocean/lake vibes AND the fck summer slide but I made an executive decision. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter: you just need to read it because it’s incredible)

QOTD: what’s your favorite horror trope?!

My Favorite Indie Reads 🩷✨

Some of these books you’re probably sick of my talking about while others I just read and am already obsessed with (and can’t wait to continue talking about them).

All Vibes, No Logic ✨

Please keep going until the end. I had this idea prior to billions of dollars worth of funding getting cut to nonprofits for mental health and substance abuse, so while this was suppose to be somewhat funny (I’m on Lexapro and have tried many of these meds out so I can funny in a ‘let’s make fun of ourselves’ sort of way) I also added a slide from @so.informed.

Lastly, I created a fundraiser for @namicommunicate. Even if you can’t donate, please consider sharing to reach people who can possibly donate.
