📕 📙 📔

Show me a book that...

👍🏼 you've read, enjoyed, and recommend!

I'm going with The Strange on this one. I had a great time with this book! A unique alien world, but a strangely familiar setting. A revenge story with mystery, suspense, and cosmic thriller. I definitely recommend!

📖 you've started but not yet finished.

Infinity Gate is a book I actually started earlier this year. And I was, and technically still am, enjoying it. I just get side tracked and distracted easily 😏. I will be getting back to this in time!

📚 you're looking forward to reading.

After finishing, and loving, The Legacy trilogy, I've been wanting to get into another fantasy story. From what I've heard about The Five Warrior Angels trilogy I think I'm making this my next fantasy.

I'll tag some friends if anyone wants to join in on this. It's not really a challenge since it's too easy 😁, but it gives us all a chance to share some book recs! Everyone is welcome to join even if you don't get tagged 🤘🏼

☀️Reverse Sunset ☀️

The lovely @manus.bookcorner tagged me in a purple plus another color stack and I decided to go with yellow! 😊 Upon picking yellow I realized I was getting major sunset vibes but I kinda liked the yellow better on top so we made it a reverse sunset !

(And because I’m indecisive I also did a regular sunset stack and a glitchy sunset …I was going to do more but my arm was getting tired at this point so I said three is good enough😅)

QOTD: Would you rather be able to speak to animals or speak every language?
-I feel like being able to speak every language would be insanely cool and incredibly helpful for traveling but I can’t shake how incredibly fun it would be to talk to animals 🥹

QOTD 2: Mountain sunsets or beach sunsets?
-I love being in a state where I can always see the mountains but since I’m not by the beach a lot I think I would have to pick beach sunsets just for their rarity

Tagging some homies for a purple and another color stack , or if you fancy a good reverse sunset I’d love to see it that too, but as always no pressure 🥰✌🏼🫡

🎨5 favorite sprayed edges🎨

Thank you to the lovely and amazing @ovium_reads & @cardcatalogdreams for the tags on this one 🥰

Not gunna lie as someone with a rather limited selection of sprayed edges I found this challenge easy to do😅 don’t get me wrong I love sprayed edges, I think they are gorgeous… I just don’t personally collect them as I’m more of a spine girl myself 😅

That being said, of the sprayed edges I do own these are my 5 favorites and why! ( I know the “why” wasn’t part of the challenge but I’m adding it any way 😊)

Princess Bride- Just a sweet story, it’s one of my favorite comfort movies and hearing “as you wish“ will always melt my heart 🥹

A Harvest of Hearts- this one has a bunch of baking utensils and sweets on it and I love baking!! My favorite thing to make is cinnamon rolls… I love them all warm and gooey and with a stupid amount cream cheese frosting

The Library of Flowers- this one I think is just gorgeous 😍 and I love flowers and bright things

Better than the movies- I love all the music notes as Im a huge music fan!

Tourist Season- I mean who doesn’t love some light dismemberment ?

QOTD: I saw this question the other day and need to ask …what do you think you could throw farther , a baguette or naan bread??
- I was for sure going baguette until I saw a point that said you could frisbee the naan and now I’m just not sure 😅

Anyway tagging some homies to show those sprayed edges! But as always no pressure!! 🥰🫡✌🏼

I went to karaoke the second night on the cruise, and this is what happened. I chose to sing music of the night from phantom of the Opera! The guy running the karaoke was British and a little intimidating. Regardless he introduced as a theater major, and I began to sing. The crowd was silent, you could hear a pin drop! I hit every note, my voice teacher would be so proud! And then they started clapping and cheering, it was very very loud! The British guy handed me this trophy, and said that song is hard to sing. And you nailed it! I'm impressed! It was a truly special moment for me!

Why Brandon Sanderson is my favorite author, and that will never change! His magic systems, legendary, his character work, wonderful, his worldbuilding incredible! And yet this is still not why he's my favorite. No one can match his mental representation! I have suffered with depression, PTSD and severe anxiety, I know what it's like. I have been in a mental hospital twice, I was abused in every way as a kid. His character's give me hope that things can get better, even if it's painful! And I'm doing really well! Wind and truth showed me how to be happy again! I get to go back to Dragonsteel Nexus! I can't wait! But yes anything with Brandon's name always goes to the top of my tbr! What are you reading? Read what speaks to you! Have a great day bookworm's!

✌🏼July Hopefuls ✌🏼

Hey friends!! Here are some books I’m hoping to get to in July! Will I read all of these? Absolutely not ! but that’s why its a hopeful stack and not a promise stack 😉

While the mood reader be mooding and typically doesn’t plan next reads , I’ve decided to try and narrow down the pool to pick from as I often become overwhelmed with options to the point where I don’t end up reading anything 😅

I also have a few audio books I’d like to get to, predominantly the Off Campus book series as I’m currently on The Mistake and I gotta be honest I can’t tell if I like the books or if I just like the show and needed more content 😅 I’m at the point where I guess the story is interesting but I would probably be way less interested if I didn’t have the show Logan as the blueprint for the book Logan (I know I know it’s backwards but I think I really like the show more than the books thus far 😬)

Anyway that what I’m thinking for July!! Have you read any of these? Do we have any of the same hopefuls?? Should I scrap any of these and add a different book to the top of the list ( I’m very easily persuaded…and that is my main sticking to a tbr list problem😅)

Tagging some friends to show off their July hopeful stacks! But as always no pressure 🫡🥰✌🏼

Have a lovely day and stay cool out there!!
