A special weekend celebrating the graduation of Mestre Índio.
From building the stage, to playing capoeira, to dancing and sharing unforgettable moments together.
Capoeira is more than movement, its community, culture, and joy.

Parabéns @mestreindiohk você é o cara.

In capoeira, a good training partner makes all the difference.
With the right partner, you can push your limits, correct your mistakes, and grow together.

Technical training is not about speed or strength.
It’s about focus, precision, and learning each movement step by step.

When you dedicate time to practice one technique, you build real control.
And that control gives you freedom inside the roda.

Who’s your training partner that helps you grow?

Our little garage … aka the Varanda da Capoeira!

We’ve been training in the most exclusive space in Uluwatu:
my house garage.
Tight space.
Low ceiling.
High energy.
Full heart.

We kick, we dodge, we sing, we sweat.
And sometimes we hit the wall (literally).

Here, you can’t fake attention.
You must vadiar with intention.
One slip and you’re hugging the gate.

This cozy corner became a temple.
Where we grow,
Where we laugh,
Where we move like water and ginga with love.

Big thank you to this beautiful community that makes every roda feel like home.
Capoeira is alive here.

See you on the Varanda.

Today at Capoeira Camp we had a super fun intro to Hip-Hop basics.

The kids rocked it! They showed they got the swing, the groove, and the “molho” to shake it on that boom bap beat.

From ginga to break steps, they flowed like true little warriors.

Who knew these capoeiristas had so much rhythm in their bodies?

Big energy, big smiles, big vibes.

Axé to all these young dancers. Let’s keep mixing cultures and moving together!

What a night at Pok-Pok Uluwatu!
We launched my book Língua da Capoeira with axé, laughter, hugs, berimbau, and even Love. ❤️

I’m seriously happy.
Happy because this book is more than pages and words.
It’s a piece of our community, our history, our language.

Thank you, Sereia, for being the brain and heart behind the editing.
Thank you to all my students, friends, and family who came to celebrate with me.
You made this moment unforgettable.

This book means a lot to me.
But more than that—it belongs to us.
To every capoeirista trying to understand a ladainha, a ginga, or the real meaning of “malandro é malandro”.

If you want a physical copy, pre-orders are still open—just DM me.
If you want the digital version now, just comment “I want” and I’ll send you the link.

Let’s spread capoeira’s voice to the world.
From Uluwatu to Everywhere, with love—and a little swing from Rio.

Axé!

What a roda! What a day!

May 22nd, 2025 — a date I’ll never forget.

Rain falling like it wanted to join the roda,
traffic that made even the neighbors feel like they crossed the ocean,
and some of you brave souls spent 4 hours just to get there…

But when we came together,
when the atabaque called,
when the game began—
nothing else mattered.

You showed up with energy, smiles, and that capoeira spirit that no storm can wash away.

My heart is full.
You made this birthday unforgettable.
I’m still smiling (and a little sore… playing with everyone has consequences!).

Thank you for the love,
for the axé,
and for reminding me why this roda is my favorite place in the world.

I love you all.

— Mestre Fumaça
