🔥Sacred Hoops - Thank a Coach Contest🔥

In the past week I have been contacted by four different schools across South Dakota seeking help to find candidates for open Basketball Coaching positions in which they cannot find anyone to apply for - THIS IS A PROBLEM!!!

The coaching field is becoming less and less desirable by the second. Positions that used to garner 30 to 40 applicants are getting 3 to 5 and others that used to get 10 to 12 are getting ZERO!!

Many factors play into this. One being horrendous pay by our school districts. Now people don't coach for the $$$ - but in todays world, especially in the basketball world, where it is expected, not asked of High School coaches, to run open gyms, workouts, attend team camps etc. in the off-season for no extra pay, the amount of time that is being put into the positions for the couple thousand dollars per year is a Joke.

Put on top of that the never ending scrutiny, and in many cases the lack of support from admin and parents, we are driving great people away from what is one of the most important and influential positions for our youth.

A Coach is someone who not only teaches the game, but also the life lessons that associate with the game. They build people up and provide an environment where kids get to set goals, work towards them, fail and learn to overcome obstacles, and more importantly do something together as a team.

We want to honor Coaches who are going above and beyond their contracts - Putting in the extra time in the gym - The Community - etc.

We are asking Parents and Players to nominate a Coach who is doing those things - We will highlight each Coach that is nominated and will select two coaches from the group to receive a gift from us of $250 each. Not life changing money at all, but maybe enough for them to sneak a night out with their loved one to make up for all the time they dedicate to others that is often sacrificed away from the people at home!!

Please nominate someone below in the comments - We will accept all nominations up to June 1st!!
