The countdown is in the home stretch!!! I cant wait for this one, out of all the shows we've played over our 10yr existence, aside from playing the Hoku's this will probably be my most memorable show!! Join Lee Cooper, Scott Sayers Bassist Kevin and myself along with original and founding member Jason Silva and we celebrate both our 10yr anniversary and reunion. Good or bad, this show will be fun!!! Come join us at Hale Kanikapila 9/12

Somewhere in between life’s business, there’s music. Always.

My band, A Tree Within is playing this Saturday (TOMORROW) at Coffee Notes, we’ll be weaving together sounds inspired by folk traditions and jazz sensibilities.
Saturday, June 13
11AM–1PM
Coffee Notes (116 Keawe St)

Good coffee. Great food. Raw and live music. Heck yeah baby. Mahaloveya.

Another year in the books. And this was truly one for the books, because writers can't make this shit up.

🇧🇪 @brouwerij_boon

Boon Black Label, gueuze à l’ancienne.

@boontbrewer

Leur savoir faire est ce mélange entre le lambic vieux et leur production actuelle. Merci à Mikkeler d’avoir collaboré avec Boon à l’époque.

The last of my Belgium posts (I think). After @bbeerchallenge was over, I was lucky to spend two days in & around Brussels with a few judging friends. On Friday, we traveled south to visit the land of lambic & geuze. My friend @agusblancorm had arranged a tour of @brouwerij_boon, and Frank Boon was gracious enough to spend several hours walking us around, explaining his philosophy, and sharing some pours straight from the foudres. From there we went to @3fonteinen for another tour and a bottle of Millenium Geuze that @pintsandpanels had won in a charity raffle several years ago and finally had a chance to collect. @werner.van.obberghen was equally gracious with his time, and opened several more outrageously good bottles to sweeten the day further. Both of these breweries make some of my favorite beers in the world, and getting to spend time behind the scenes of both was a day full of bucket list moments.
