This Black History Month has me thinking about my family. Their accomplishments, their legacy. Watching them grow old is nothing short of a blessing and I’m so in awe of how they’ve navigated this world. They’ve raised us with such love and hope despite how they’ve been treated in this country. They are still so proud of where they come from. Truly nobody reps Knoxville, TN harder than my family. IYKYK. I am me because of them. I cherish being a Black woman because of them.
