Five years of hard work led to getting @rhinothemovie finished. To have a packed room for a sold out African Premiere to celebrate the people and organisations that had enough trust in me to welcome me into their lives and their work to tell their stories, means the world to me. We’re now going to try and get Rhino into schools and the community and make it available in Kenya. 🇰🇪 Hopefully more to come. To everyone that had a piece of themselves in this film, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

We’re so pleased to share that Michael Dyer, Managing Director of Borana, has been shortlisted for the @countryandtownhouse Future Icons Awards 2027 for Sustainability Leader of the Year.

Borana Lodge has also been shortlisted for Responsible Safari Experience.

These two categories mean a huge amount to us. Sustainability and responsible tourism are at the heart of what we do at Borana, from protecting wildlife and restoring habitat to supporting communities around us.

We’re very proud to see Michael and the wider Borana team recognised for the work that goes on behind the scenes every day.

Fingers crossed!

I’m not sad to pack our bags. Well… not TOO sad. These few weeks at Borana have been wonderful. Sun filled and gentle. Full of food, Kenyan pink light and laughter. We needed that after a turbulent four years of loss, injury and hard work.

I had a few aims for this holiday.

I wanted Pippin to overcome his paralysing fear of water. He has. Only in the last week though!

I wanted Merlin to want to ride again. After losing Mr Pickles he has not been very keen. He’s smiling and cantering about on a horse again which has made us so proud. And he’s learnt to swim - really well.

Jesse rode with us a few times and that made me deliriously happy. He has slept and eaten lots and lots of fresh food and has lost the pallor and chest infection he arrived here with. He’s driven us about and when not tormenting his younger brothers has been funny and good company.

Mole and I are now chomping at the bit to get home and get back to work. Ready to put our beloved house on the market so Mole can go home. Ready to train for @passoftears race properly.

Thank you to our kind and generous friends for putting up with us for so long. It always feels like home here. We love you Dyers, so so much xxx

I’ve been coming to Borana for twenty years. I worked here when I was eighteen and somehow managed to persuade our lovely friends to keep letting me visit.

What an immense privilege it is to come here and share the magic with my family.

I feel as though I’ve fallen through a portal. It really is like a different world. Full of pink African light, extraordinary animals and the best people. Where old values still ring true. Abundantly.

The children go to bed buzzing. Their heads full of stars and dreams. Then sleep like babies.

Don’t wake me up just yet…please 🙏🏼✨
