Ben Courtice — May 29 | CREATE

@boringfriends had no idea what he was doing... but he did it anyway. And didn't die doing so.

🎨 Ben reminded us to "give yourself permission to be bad at something.". That so much of creativity comes from trying, experimenting, and often making sh!tty art.

🎂 Our 14th birthday event was filled with this spirit; Not waiting until you're ready. Not waiting until you're an expert. Starting. Creating. Figuring it out as you go.

✨ Every artist, creator, entrepreneur, and maker starts somewhere. The magic isn't in having all the answers. It's in showing up, making the thing, and learning along the way.

🤯 Thank you Ben, for reminding us that sometimes the best approach is simply to not know what the f%©k you're doing... but doing it anyway.

💜 What a hilarious, informative and motivating morning, thanks to all who attended and shared in our celebrations!

A look back at The Main’s first-ever Holiday Party 🎊

Three days, over a dozen curated vendors, and hundreds of Montrealers showing up to shop local in Griffintown: That’s our first-ever holiday market in a nutshell roasted on an open fire.

With a VIP night on November 21 and a holiday market open to the public on November 22 & 23 at IMAGEMOTION, the goal was to prove that a curated, easy-going yet well-designed market could hold its own against the usual holiday chaos.

We’d call it a success: Our VIP night kicked things off Friday with early access for paid subscribers, complimentary drinks, and Lightspeed CEO Dax Dasilva signing copies of his latest book with Eric Hendrikx, Echoes from Eden: A Daring Voyage to Protect Earth’s Last Wild Places, right before tapping a keg from Dieu du Ciel! Meanwhile, people supported local makers and got first pick of the goods.

Then Saturday and Sunday brought the crowds with steady foot traffic and curious browsers.

To our vendors, massive thank you for showing up and bringing something worth attention!

To our DJs, thank you for bringing the beats and getting the vibes going: @lou.roots , Shtarek (@tarekg), and @evan___c handled Saturday’s soundtrack. @cece.the.red brought Sunday’s vibe.

Thanks to @brasseriedieuduciel , we had a solid selection of cold cans to enjoy. The bar kept things flowing without turning the market into a party. People shopped, but not sloshed.

Big thanks to, Montreal, and thanks to Lightspeed for helping to make it all possible. Their point-of-sale systems powered every transaction, and their support let us focus on curating the experience instead of worrying about logistics.

Thanks to everyone who showed up, bought something, told a friend, or just came through to see what we’re proud to have built.

Most important thanks goes to our team, our founder, and cofounders! None of this would be possible without you guys 🧡
