POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A weekend of inspiration at Fight Fest Champions Summit.
First off, congratulations @imjohanjulianlee @fightfestborneo team for putting together a great event.
Love seeing people ffom different backgrounds coming together, we had students, athletes, coaches and people who are working towards something of their own; all willing to learn, grow and challenge themselves.

I came to share my own experiences but I also walked away inspired by stories & perspectives shares by coaches @ajpyro , @marc_marcellinus as well as @nordianapw and @ayezshaukatfonseka.

It was also great spending more time with everyone during the meet-and-greet, answering questions and getting to know our participants, some of them very young.

Enjoyed closing the event coaching a MMA and self defense seminar with coach AJ.

A big thank you to @nuhea.my for the support and making this event possible and @lemeridienkotakinabalu for the wonderful hospitality and venue. Last but not least, thank you everyone who came to support and participated.

Congrats again Julian and team! Thank you for having me as a speaker. Wishing many more success in the future!

EJ was our first ever cat. She came to us just over 10 years ago in a rain storm. When I went to open up our Borneo Tribal Squad Gym to get ready for classes, she was a little lost, crying kitten. We looked all over to reunite her with her mom, with no luck, so she joined us at first in the gym, sitting by the kick bags watching Muay Thai classes never scared of the noise and commotion, sleeping through jiu jitsu and enjoying the cuddles from students. When we took her home, she would jump up by the TV when we watched MMA to watch it as well. We named her EJ after us (Emily Jumat). She was a loner yet our young rescue kittens always seemed drawn to her. She's been with us through multiple moves and changes, watching our Pyro family grow. Today she left us and my heart is shattered. I loved her so much and this just aches to my very core. Thank you for choosing me and changing my world EJ, I will love you always and forever. 🐾🤍 EJ Pyro July 2016 - October 2026 .My love.

Leveling up to 4 series last Friday #june19

I've been meaning to share something about my birthday week earlier, reply all birthday wishes and messages, but it's honestly just been nonstop.

Part of the week was spent working on a documentary project, which gave me a chance to revisit different chapters of my life and reflect a little more than I normally do.
And somewhere in all that, I realized something..I've lived a lot of life.

Probably more than I sometimes give myself credit for.

I've had opportunities I would have never imagined when I was younger. I've experienced wins, losses, heartbreaks, lessons, adventures, and plenty of unexpected turns along the way.

This birthday week also reminded me how blessed I am with the people in my life.

Friends I haven't spoken to in years reached out. People sent messages, gifts and kind wishes. To everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday, thank you. It genuinely meant a lot.❤️

It reminded me that I'm fortunate not just because of the things I've done, but because of the people I've met and the people who have been part of the journey.

Having to "upgrade" to 40 doesn't feel like slowing down.

If anything, I feel like a fruit that's finally ripened.

Not because I've figured everything out, but because life has given me the chance to experience so much.

Its a reminder for me

To appreciate the journey.

To give myself a little more grace.

To cherish the people around me.

And to keep moving forward with gratitude.

Started my birthday morning early with interviews at @xtremepaddlers before we took the camera crew on a short seakayaking trip. @drey_adriano is a natural infront of camera, guessed he has had enough media training from taking celebrities on adventure trips.

Sharing the high and lows of being an entrepreneur.

My little tribe. Birthday dinner with the family.

Coming home late at night after spending the day running/teaching a workshop and filming a documentary project and then having to rush submitting my portfolio for my Apel. A certification that same night right before midnight.. i was just exhausssted...Clock turned 12am

Over 50 is not a limitation — it’s your advantage. You have the discipline, the patience, and the mindset most people are still trying to build.

You’re not getting older — you’re getting stronger, wiser, and more intentional.

Train with purpose. Move with gratitude. Show up every day. Because being fit after 50 isn’t about proving others wrong…

It’s about proving to yourself that you’re not done — you’re just getting started. Alhamdulilah for everything.

Happy 9th Adoption Birthday to EJ, Our #1 Warrior Paw Princess! 🐾😻💫

She found us during a storm—tiny and crying at our gym’s door, lost yet somehow knowing where she was meant to be. That day, EJ chose us.

From the very start, she was unshakably cool, perched calmly amid loud kicks, grappling rolls, and punching bags in Muay Thai and Jiujitsu classes. Totally chill in the chaos! We named her EJ, and she walked right into our hearts and our home like she’d owned it all along.

Today, she’s the big sister to our ever-growing rescue crew. She is family .🐾💖 EJ has an incredibly special spot in our hearts. Here’s to the day she chose us and changed everything. 💛 Happy “Gotcha Day,” our darling girl!! 💖💫

It's never can I fit training into my day? Rather, it's when in my day will I train?! Today's drills and rolls were fun!

Thanks #fbmemories for bringing out these pictures from the archives and reminding me that suplexes were my favorite moves to do (kalau mau buat sekarang, sakit belakang kali ah).

Photoshoot was done in 2014 in collaboration with @ripcurlmy as you can see from the amazing wear I have in the photos😉(I actually still use the same hoodie when its cold in the office, sangat tahan). Its been 10 years since I have collaborated with @ripcurlmy and what a great one it has been - from sponsoring my fight wear to becoming supportive partners for @xtremepaddlers community events such as @surf.and.roll and upcoming event Jom Camping - Escape to nature.

Aww thank you heaps @ripcurlmy and the man behind the waves @abemoe88 . Dari aku fighter sampai la anak satu ,kita kawan 😆

🔥By the way, be sure to drop by @ripcurlmy stores and check out their 55 years anniversary promo. Yang di Sabah, boleh pergi Warisan Square, Suria Sabah and Imago Mall. 🤙

May was an exciting month which included an amazing weekend of BJJ - learning, sharing and friendship - at our sister academy Studio 23 JiuJitsu in Kuching.
We also had our promotions and I was surprised, humbled, honoured to be awarded 4 stripes on my purple belt. Thank you to both Professor @ajpyro for pushing me to train - even through the toughest of times we went through during the pandemic, and to Professor @adam.s.kayoom for believing in me and being a tremendous support to @borneotribalsquad all these years. Thank you to training buddies including @annosman @tirajumahat @jasonxhamilton and Nikita. Congrats everyone on your promotions!! Thank you @studio23bjj.sarawak @evetovicsivan @normanchai288 for the hospitality and great weekend!!! Can't wait for the next one!
