HAPPY Final Fantasy LoFi Release Day

SURPRISE! It’s SephiBerry—or Sephigoth, call it what you want.
Out of all the collabs I’ve ever done with my friends at @curagarecords , this one was probably the HARDEST one not to yap about! CAN YOU IMAGINE THE SCRUTINY I went through.

I’m honored to present to you the MOTHER, the name-giver, the epitome of what Curaga stands for: Final Fantasy.
With this release, they truly went all in—featuring a double vinyl, cassette, CD and streaming formats.
It even comes with a cover sleeve that lets you switch between two diﬀerent vinyl inner sleeves. The tears are running. The 20-track vinyl is a tribute to the originally composed music by Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu and many more.
It’s a well rounded mix of evocative textures and deep, smooth basslines with vibes so chill, you avoid all of your RPG anxiety.

But let’s get serious for a second - Who else has a personal core memory—or trauma track—from Final Fantasy?
Probably all of us. The vinyl opens instantly with a goosebump moment: Prelude from Final Fantasy II, it has a warm, almost hip-hop-inspired vibe. I listened to it on a rainy afternoon and was instantly taken back to my DS-under-the blanket days, frustrated about the lack of save points. That era shaped me into the resilient and absolutely sane person I am today. *cough*

I honestly don’t even know which track is my favorite, but I’m convinced that out of all 20 lo-fi remixed pieces
—from Final Fantasy II to XVI—Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles has a sound gallery that stayed with me the
most.

I’m really happy to be part of introducing this homage to a series that has meant so much to me for so many
years.

Always wild to see how the year went for me via statistics. Extra grateful for this year considering I didn’t release any new songs and have been still promoting VOL.24 (I still got some more tricks up my sleeves don’t you worry). Special shoutout to @azodimusic and @maybeimjustnate for Better Than This being 2024’s Top sora track 🤭
