Last day of Blizzcon. What an absolute dream 🥲

Thank you @blizzard for the worlds you’ve created and the opportunity to celebrate them with the people that now call them home. I’m walking away with new friends, new memories, and now two new games now that I finally started @playoverwatch and @playhearthstone

As a diehard @warcraft girl though, I will always look to Azeroth and can’t wait for all that’s coming 🤩

Where do I even start. This was my first BlizzCon👾

I’ve been playing Blizzard games since Warcraft III (s/o to DotA and Burbenog TD!) and after all these years, I finally got to experience the magical adventure that is Blizzcon, while also finally finding my people!!

This might sound crazy but the opening ceremony felt like going to church. I know that sounds dramatic, but I mean it. There was this electric, almost spiritual energy in the room. Thousands of people screaming, cheering, laughing, crying, celebrating the same games and worlds that have meant so much to all of us. I felt completely surrounded by people who just got me.

But as incredible as the games, announcements, costumes, stages and everything else were, the people I met were the most meaningful part of this experience.

I finally got to meet my internet friends Zanziabar, Botanicole, Ryan and Doom/Travmo. People I’ve talked to, laughed with, built with, and known through a screen suddenly right in front of me was like 🤯🤯

Then there were people I’ve watched for years and years. Some for more than a decade. Getting to meet them in person and hearing, “Oh, you’re GP!” melted my brain a little. 😭

While my jaw was still on the floor I met the developers and people whose work I’ve admired for years - including the WoW Housing developers and now the WoW: Forever team.

I spent so much of my life looking for a place where I felt like I belonged, and I never expected that I would find so many people who understood the things I love this deeply.

To everyone I met, everyone who hugged me, talked with me, nerded out with me, laughed with me, or just made me feel welcome exactly as I am - Thank you. You have no idea what that meant to me.

I came home feeling seen, feeling inspired, and most importantly, I came home feeling completely certain that I’m where I’m supposed to be.

My only regret is not getting that Diablo tattoo to remember the experience forever. 😂

Thank you BlizzCon, @blizzard team, and the teams who worked on the event.

And thank you to everyone who made my first one something I’ll never forget.

This was SUCH an amazing weekend! I don't even really have the words to describe the feeling of 'togetherness'...it felt like so much more than just a bunch of people getting together because we all like the same video game. I think my favorite part of the convention was walking through the doors into the hall for the first time, and the decor, ambiance, music, people, everything...well, as silly as it sounds, I felt like I belonged.

PLUS I finally got to meet a bunch of people! We hang out online all the time, so it was so nice to put names with actual faces. Unfortunately there were a ton more people that I forgot to take pictures with because I was just so excited and overwhelmed! Thank you to everyone who said hi and hung out with me!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone (and more!) at the next #blizzcon !
