Supporting new film projects is one of the ways we hope to connect our students with the wider film community in Egypt.
At the 10th edition of Manassat Film Festival, the Coventry Film Production Award was presented by Mohamed Sherif Bushnaq on behalf of the Film Production Pathway at Coventry University Cairo. The award went to My Grandmother’s Salon, directed by Omar Sherif and produced by Bothaina El Emam.
Congratulations to the entire team behind the project. We would also like to thank the jury of this year’s Manassat Film Festival Fund Maha El Wazir, Andrew Mohsen, and Ahmed Nabil, for their time, expertise, and commitment to supporting new film projects and emerging filmmakers.
Thank you to the Manassat Film Festival team for their collaboration. We look forward to following the project’s journey and continuing this partnership in the years ahead.

🖥️ Some finishing touches are never small.

As we close the sponsored grants series, we’re celebrating partners helping projects through final technical steps before meeting an audience.

WSKRS Studio is helping ‘Tricycle’ by Mohamed Soliman through dedicated post-production consultations and services.

Thanks to The Knowledge Hub Universities and Coventry University, Sounds by Sabbour, Shift Studios, and WSKRS Studio for helping these projects move closer to the screen.
