Getting ready for #bourbonbonanza bottle share tonight and I had to pre-crack this Peter Jake’s Private Keep - 10 year - 90 proof #kentuckystraightbourbonwhiskey from #kbd #kentuckybourbondistillers to make sure there were no unexpected cork emergencies. Cork is intact and we are good to go! #openyourwhiskey

Bardstown Bourbon Company Discovery Series #12

When Otto from Friends in Bourbon Places asked for a sample, I finally had the excuse to crack this bottle... and it definitely didn't disappoint.

Nose: honey gramcracker, brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, and a touch of baking spice

Palate: Full-bodied and layered with deep caramel, vanilla, cocoa, brown sugar, and seasoned oak. Everything is balanced, coating the palate without becoming overly sweet.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering oak, baking spice, dark caramel, and just enough sweetness to keep you reaching for another sip.

This is another reminder of why the Discovery Series has such a loyal following. It's rich, complex, and incredibly well put together. Every sip had me finding something a little different, and it drinks remarkably well for the proof.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.3/5

Huge thanks to Otto from Friends in Bourbon Places for finally giving me the push to crack this one. It was absolutely worth the wait.

It's more than what's in the glass. 🥃
