Title: The 90s Nostalgia. What do you think about fashion in today's world? Let me take you back.... Back to the time when the world was a little slower When photographs had to be developed When television had fewer channels and when people could wear their best clothes confidently. But then, there was something about the women in the 90s They knew how to carry themselves Not because life was always beautiful around them, but because they understood that beauty was something they could create within themselves. She didn't need a perfect background to have a perfect presence. She would tie her gele carefully Put on her favourite earrings Stack her bangles around her wrist Wear that outfit she had been saving Look at herself in the mirror and smile. She could sit behind a little wooden window, surrounded by old walls and still look like she had somewhere important to be. There was no perfectly curated background No ring lights No Instagram carousel No hundred photographs to find the perfect angel No pressure to convince strangers that she is beautiful. There is something incredibly nostalgic about that. The women of that era seemed to understand that poise wasn't dependent on circumstance. You don't have to live in a mansion to have elegance You don't need designer clothes to have presence You don't need an expensive beauty routine to appreciate your face. And perhaps, that's what this photograph captures so beautifully. “How It All Started – 2017” Every great journey has a beginning… mine started in 2017 in Ibadan—not in a big office or fancy space, but as a humble suya guy on the street. With little capital but a big dream, I stood behind the grill day and night, learning the craft, serving customers, and building relationships one stick of suya at a time. It wasn’t easy—the heat, the stress, the slow days—but I stayed consistent because I believed in something bigger. What I had then wasn’t much, but I had passion, determination, and the hunger to grow. From those small beginnings, the vision started taking shape… gradually evolving into something greater. 2017 was not just a year—it was the foundation of my hustle, the beginning of my brand, and the starting point of a journey that keeps growing stronger every day. From a suya spot in Ibadan… to something bigger. And this is just the beginning. @bopshawarma
