POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My mother was a hairstylist so I grew up in the shop. Being at the hair salon as a young black girl is such an experience. It’s culture. It’s a journey. It’s storytelling. It’s art. Going to the salon there is a beginning, a middle and an end.

So grateful my daughter gets to experience this. Being at the shampoo bowl, hearing the water rush down your scalp, all while anticipating the comb out just before the hot blow dry is part of the culture.

I love my baby. I pray God continues to allow me to give her amazing life experiences.

It’s so creepy that my phone makes these. But they make me reflect on my past. And it’s not all bad. Cheers to my #blackgirlstravel crew. 2019 will be A-Maz-ing😁
