Another Sunday of breaking in the suit with the D-Squad 🤘🏻🤘🏻
The hip flexor shake will be worked on.
This is really not a heavy weight.
Going on month 7/8 of Strongman specific training, I remember when this weight was just a dream.
Now it's a part of a weight to break in a deadlift suit.... Wild how time goes by and progress is made.
Breathing through the nose made it bearable to lift in, this time. Slowly getting a better fit 1 session at a time!

For my strong friends what can you do. My personal best is power bar + 10lbs, but the added length adds a different challenge to this.

Bar 1 - standard power bar (7ft 45lbs)
Bar 2 - squat/deadlift bar (8ft 55lbs)

Wow! What an incredible weekend at @arkansasstrengthexpo

First and foremost want to thank the incredible @davidshirleyspf and @davidsoldlady who are doing something so special for the sport. They are incredible people, with a beautiful family!

We were lucky to meet David at @musiccityfitexpo we had just launched and had planned on going to the Arkansas Strength Expo in support of some friends lifting, and he graciously let us come be a part of this at the last minute.

We were truly blessed this weekend getting to meet and talk to so many of you, and watch so many of you conquer those weights and get those white lights pop up.

All the glory to God, and we are so thankful for the people he has put into our lives.

Thank you all for an incredible weekend!

Strongman Saturday with the crew.

Ran a full mock deadlift medley today:
• 500 power bar
• 550 from 13” on axle
• 600 off blocks on the Kabuki with plates pushed out to mimic the mammoth bar

Finished all 3 pulls in 30 seconds. Really happy with that considering every pull was just under comp weight. The biggest thing today was practicing transitions and keeping speed once fatigue kicked in.

Still work to do, but this was one of those training days where you can actually feel progress happening.

Thanks to everyone for coming out!

Did the Arkansas Rhino Rumble Strongman competition.

🥇 1st place Mens Open Heavyweight division

Events:

2nd - Axle clean and press

1st - Dinnie stone carry

2nd - Sandbag steeplechase

1st - 2 inch Axle bar deadlift (double overhand no lifting straps allowed)

1st - Power stairs

@daddyogre_97 brother from another mother. We did it bud 💪🏻💪🏻 got 1st in Mens open SHW and HW division.

Was one helluva comp set up by @heartforgedstrength and @scottylimbaugh_strongman testing my grip to the max! I cant even open a tuna can today... LoL

@bowenbars is by far the toughest competitor there is, made me almost not show up for the day but I faced my fears and had fun.

@almost_a_strongman aka "the camera man" always on point with a couple photos and vids

@arkansasmusclegym
We gotta build a shelf in the strongman section for our trophies 🏆

@williebtb now it's time to continue prep for @static_monsters and do another side quest @arkansas_strongest @arkansasstrengthexpo on our way to the worlds championship 🏆

Gonna check in with @thesupplementhub_sa to make sure I got all my protein and creatine supplements that I need to be the best functional version of myself.

@liezel9226 only you can support and motivate me like you do. I love you ❤️ nope I'm not gonna cut the beard 😂

Another Arnold down. It was awesome to see old faces again, and meet some new ones. Didn’t get pictures with everyone, as I am always bad about that. But we had a hell of a time at the comp and put on the town afterwards. Can’t wait to see yall again next year. Or maybe some of you sooner at Marcus’s event later this year.🤙

Another great time at the Arnold cheering on my brother @dwest.33 in Worlds Strongest firefighter. Didn’t get the result we were looking for this time but next year is going to be different because he isn’t gonna wanna lose to little bro.

I will be joining him in the battle to find the world’s strongest firefighter!

Made a lot of new friends that I can’t wait to see again hopefully a little sooner than 362 days at @waugh.strong!
