Veil of the Vessel
Olyve Dewi

A memoire for the Indo Silence (Indisch Zwijgen).
Without the memory of the post-war wound having crossed our gazes, the first generations took their stories to their graves. Now that the silence has merged with the land, we can only communicate through the conduit of ancestral dialogue. Those who came before us remind us of the responsibility we carry. Towards the ones with whom we will share the soil after.

Presented as part of the Fine Arts Graduation Show of the Willem de Kooning Academy.

Merci to all the people involved
Wooden panel frames made by my dear friend @ben_morich
Merci to my dancing teachers: Ibu Nova, @dwibhumi_bali_netherlands @jerome.a.m
Thank you to all the mentors that guided this project @karinarink
Thank you to all the friends, family and the ancestral guiding hands supporting me.
