Training to be useful when it matters. 🚒

Strength. Engine. Work capacity.

Building the kind of fitness that still works when you're tired, carrying weight and everything starts getting uncomfortable.

Plenty more work to do.

And I'm building something a little bigger in the background… 👀

Soon. 343. 🇬🇧🇺🇸

5 kilometres. Full turnout gear. But this was never about the distance. 🇺🇸🇬🇧

Last weekend, thousands took to the streets of New York for the Tunnel to Towers 5K, retracing the final footsteps of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller.

I couldn't be there, so I wanted to mark it in my own way here in the UK.

Full American turnout gear. Helmet. Boots. Breathing apparatus. 5K.

No time to chase. No PB to beat. Just a small act of remembrance for a firefighter who ran towards danger when others were running away.

And on my wrist, two reminders of why we continue to remember:
343 — for the FDNY firefighters lost on September 11th.
Preston Fant — whose memory I was proud to carry with me.

After travelling to Atlanta last month and experiencing first-hand the brotherhood of the US fire service, this one meant more than just another challenge.

Different countries. Different uniforms.
One fire-service family.

For Stephen.
For Preston.
For the 343.
Never Forget. 🇺🇸🇬🇧

We were thrilled to connect with so many incredible partners at this year’s South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo (SAFRE) hosted by @safre_nc 🚒🔥
Our Sales Director, Rhianna Syvertsen, had a great time stopping by our partners’ booths, catching up, and connecting with so many familiar faces throughout the expo.
We’re proud to support the fire service with solutions designed to help streamline inventory management, improve accountability, and keep your team equipped.

Another 880 brass band conversion heads back to Vallejo FD. Member was unable to pick helmet up because of mandatory. Not a problem…..
We dropped his lid off at the firehouse. Gotta take care of local folks!

🚒 NEW GEAR IN SERVICE !!! 🚒

The members of the Hillcrest Volunteer Fire Department are proud to announce that our new Honeywell Morning Pride turnout gear has officially been placed in service!

This critical safety equipment was acquired through an Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) awarded by FEMA last year. These grant funds help ensure that our firefighters have access to the latest protective equipment, allowing us to safely and effectively serve our community when called upon. Many thanks to Julie Burline and MJ Burben INC. for assisting us in preparing and securing this important grant for our Department!

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the teams at Morning Pride Turnout Gear and MESFire for their outstanding service throughout the procurement and implementation process. From the initial sizing and customization to final delivery, their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service were second to none. Their efforts helped ensure that every member received gear that fits properly and meets the highest standards of firefighter safety. We also want to thank Box 31 Leatherworks for the excellent customer service they provided in creating new helmet shields!

Investing in our firefighters is investing in the safety of our community, and we are grateful for the support that made this project possible.

Thank you to FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency, Morning Pride Turnout Gear, and MESFire for helping keep our members protected while they answer the call.
