Because we all start somewhere.

You don’t become amazing at something overnight. It takes practice, patience, mistakes, learning and a whole lot of determination.

Looking back at my work from 4 years ago, I remember how proud I was of those brows. And rightly so! Because at that point in my journey, that was the best work I could produce.

Fast forward 4 years and look at the difference.

The knowledge, the precision, the attention to detail, the confidence… it all comes with time.

And I’m STILL learning. STILL improving. STILL growing.

So if you’re just starting out, or you’re looking at someone else’s work wishing yours looked like theirs, please remember that you’re comparing your beginning to somebody else’s years of experience.

Don’t give up because you’re not where you want to be yet.

Keep showing up. Keep practising. Keep investing in yourself.

Because imagine what your work could look like 4 years from now. 🤍

This transformation got me…

My client had some faded SPMU underneath her brow hairs, and she really wanted her brows to look alive again, particularly at the starting point of her brows.

I created this finish by doing a brow lamination and hybrid stain to cover the SPMU.
The results speak for themselves… polished, defined and refreshed.

My client left happy.

My job is complete. 😊

Be honest…do you utilise chatGPT more than your own brain and creativity? 😭

It’s an easy trap to fall into. You start off using it for a task your brain genuinely can’t compute. Then, you’re using it to speed up your daily work. Before you know it, it’s your immediate go-to for EVERYTHING.

This is such a vast and complex topic so all I will say is this: I’m tired of everything I read online sounding the same.

Writing something in your own tone of voice - the way you would actually speak - will always be more impactful than a perfectly structured sentence that feels flat.

“But it saves time” YES, BUT AT WHAT COST? The gradual loss of your own writing ability. Use it or lose it.

I saw a video online of someone arguing why human written beats AI and half the comments were “no one reads captions”

So, no-one writes anymore. And no-one reads anymore.

Fantastic.

This is why there is a literacy crisis.

AI can and is incredible in many ways but please do not let the art of creative writing die out.

P.S. no judgement because at one point I was also not writing my captions myself and then I realised I was rotting my brain. I get it 😩
