Ollie’s first Hueco szn 🥰 Every morning he’d wake up, prop his front paws on the bed, wait for some encouragement from mom n dad, hop back down, get a running start, jump up on the bed, lay his entire body on one of us, and snuggle for the next 15 minutes. He spent his days romping with the campground dog pack, visiting other campers, and likely getting into food that wasn’t his. While we were at Hueco (dogs aren’t allowed unfortunately) he’d spend the day snoozing in the airstream, well, mostly. There were a few days he wasn’t snoozing and instead howling or shredding my cookbooks or tearing apart the blinds or treating the couch cushions like a chew toy. And then the evenings he’d play with all his favorite humans. And sit on them because he thinks he’s small enough to do that. Truly in love with this little boi and so glad our Hueco fam finally got to meet him 🥹

A Simple Knowing 8B

Classic banger at Topside in of the rare dry days earlier in the trip.

Rain still persists, but I'm excited to play my cards on the projects when I have a chance🃏

My flash try on MIRTA 8B+/V14

On each problem out there, you have only one attempt available to make your flash, only one chance to make it happen.

I dreamed hard about this special attempt on Mirta. The moves were clear in my head, the skin was good, the wind was right, almost everything felt perfect. Almost.

My fingers started going a lil numb, maybe I rushed it. My foot popped, and in a second, I was on the mat. The magic vanished.

Yeah, I’m bummed. But that’s the flash game, and I love the thrill of it.
The dream is still alive for the next challenge.

South Africa’s season has just begun. Can’t wait to see what’s out there.

Some mems on film from a magical time in Rocklands.
.
The rocks lived up to the hype (and then some) and the food might draw us back just as much as the climbing 🤤 and it wouldn’t have been the same without all the friends from all over the world to share the experiences with. This was our first trip to the mecca of bouldering and definitely won’t be the last.

Bye Hueco 👋🏼

Short trip, but a full heart…. climbing with old friends and new ones. Constantly reminded how much this sport means to me through all the amazing people I meet along the way. Already dreaming of next season….
