When boys have space in nature without technology pulling their attention, they have crucial space to look at a distance and get perspective, to feel, think and notice things they normally don’t.

Major internal restructuring happens when boys get this vital space and experience. Young people are developing neural pathways at an unprecedented rate as they enter puberty. Literally discovering who they are. Spending time out in nature in an unstructured way with friends and mentors, without the distraction of technology, is rare in these times, but it’s a cornerstone of the pathmaker program at Rooted Futures.

We invite boys to step outside each week during our virtual groups and our in-person gatherings are always organized around nature connection.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to one of my angels. Today you’d be 91 years old. I had the honor of caring for you last year (alongside my amazing family in Arizona) as you went on your hospice journey. It was so cool how you were pretty determined NOT to make it to your 90th birthday & succeeded by 2 months! You felt complete & ready to leave your physical body, & we were there to support you through the departure. My Uncle was pivotal in letting her come to his home in a hospital bed so she could be surrounded by family in her last days. I will be forever grateful for that experience. I miss being able to talk to you whenever or get your “Marco Polos”, I know I can still access you at any time. & now at 41 weeks pregnant, I was hoping this baby boy would be born today so he could share your birthday. Guess we’ll see! ✨ Love you, Nana

We are hosting our monthly ‘Heart Gym’ Series this Sunday at The Temple Of The Yummy Heart!

Heart Gym: “A place where you can exercise your heart with all of the necessary equipment and trainers to keep it toned and beautiful (and yummy... of course)”

Heart Gym will be open one Sunday each month and will feature a variety of guests (trainers) to share their unique and magical offerings with the community. Each Gym session will have a specialized theme and focus. To honor the nourishing California rains, the theme this month is “Fertile Ground.”
