It’s really sad that @surfrider was formed to help protect surf spots and be on the side of surfers yet somewhere along the way lost focus of that. Mind boggling that not once have I seen a person from @surfriderslo at the Dunes, Oceano parking lot, Grover parking lot or Pismo parking lot asking for the opinions from SURFERS, FISHERMAN and those of us who have grown up driving this stretch of beach not only to surf and fish but to get some piece of mind. Not sure how long members of the SLO Surfrider have lived here but pre 1983 one could drive from Pismo to Point Sal on the beach which is near 20 miles. Then after 1983 we could drive from Grover to Oso Flaco which is near 10 miles. Then I believe in 2020 when for some reason driving past Pole 6 & later Pole 4 happened with no rhyme or reason. Even when the Plover “season” was over that zone was closed thus leaving roughly only 4 to 5 miles of drivable beach area. So to say that there has been no loss or compromise from us who have lived here is absurd. Why can’t YOU Surfrider be defending our access to this? There is plenty of walking beach access from Pismo to Grove and I often see many people walking down all the way to Pole 4 safely. Find YOUR way Surfrider and protect surfers and surfing AGAIN

This is a solid crew that I have had the pleasure of shooting with since they were groms. Nothing has changed except maybe the level of surfing and fun! 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Such a surreal turnout and an overwhelming amount of support for our premiere of “PRETTY ON THE INSIDE”.
Couldn’t have asked for a better group of people.
