and who am I if not music-loving, outgoing, loud, caring, empathetic, smiley, and energetic?

Honestly, college has been a rollercoaster of emotions, if you asked me in the first few weeks I would have said I love it here. If you asked me a few weeks ago I would’ve said I hated it and I made the worst decision of my life coming here. But if you asked me now, freshly 19, looking back on the semester so far, I can safely say that I am finally back to loving it here.

It has been hard to realize and accept, but it is such an insane privilege to be tired from the job I once prayed for. What incredible privilege to be challenged by a life I spent so many hours preparing for. What a privilege it is to outgrow things I once settled for.

No matter what, God has shown his grace and mercy. Every time I sit in prayer I ask God to allow me to truly be a light in the world as mentioned in Matthew 5:14.

So God, thank you for such wonderful friends, the early admissions program, challenges, 19 years of life, crops judging, hats, red-bull, college, and so much more.

because who am I if not a son of God.

Artesia FFA, Thank you for letting me shine. Thank you for teaching me how to win humbly and lose gracefully. Thank you for leading me to my best friends.
