I am lost in the unfathomable infinities of love I have for this cast and crew. This production of HAIR has been transformative for me not only as a performer, and artist, but also as a human being. The creation process of this show was nothing but inspiring, uplifting, and beautiful. It is so important to keep telling this story today. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this special show, I love you all SO dearly. Love your mama, Jeanie/Ruby

“make love not war” ☮️🌈💖🌼

in a time where we are watching the world around us become more and more cruel & divided, getting the chance to tell a story about people choosing love, freedom, and community feels undeniably powerful.

this show was written decades ago, but so much of what it’s asking of us still feels painfully and heartbreakingly relevant. i’m consistently reminded of why it matters to speak up, question things, and care LOUDLY.

thank you to dyl, parker, and our entire creative team for trusting us with this story and giving us a safe space to be honest, messy, joyful, and human in such a dark time. working under your direction has been the absolute greatest gift.

thank you to our cast/tribe. my first show at IAMT could not have been more special, and so much of that is because of you all. i feel incredibly lucky to have been alongside this group of ridiculously talented, kind, humble, supportive, and hardworking individuals. the love & genuine connection we shared made this experience completely unforgettable.

outside of its social and political meaning, HAIR has always and will always hold a place in my heart. my high school costumer, michael mcdonald, was one of my biggest mentors and supporters. he also happened to be the costume designer for the broadway HAIR revival in 2009. michael passed a month into my senior year, two years ago. i found myself thinking about him a lot throughout this process, and i just know how proud he would be of this group of students and our production.

if this show moves you— speak up, use your voice, get involved, and help make a change.
