Huge thanks to @haystack_school for inviting me to teach a woodcarving workshop. I had an amazing time with this incredible group. Delicious food, talented people on all the other workshops, very professional and welcoming staff. I am already missing my students. Thank you as well for welcoming my family, and let them feel part of the big family of creative people, we were inspired by you all.

I’m still reeling from the past two entirely magical weeks spent @haystack_school . When @pt_press asked me to be his studio assistant nearly 8 months ago, I immediately committed. Having previously attended Haystack as an undergrad student in 2015, I knew this experience would enrich and push my artistic practice. What I didn’t expect to find was a deep sense of community with fellow artists and craftspeople that I now get to consider lifelong friends. I feel so much abundance in my current trajectory and that isn’t without meaningful connection through commune with others. That is specifically what makes Maine such a special place (apart from the obvious incredible scenery) and one I will continue to return to for many years to come.
.
Thank you @pt_press for taking me on this wild ride—I truly had a lot of fun working alongside you. The work I produced during this time is some of my strongest and has shifted things in an exciting way. You are an integral part to this shift as you’ve expanded my perception and approach to the process. After working woodcut for so many years, it was refreshing to break away from my own formula. Thank you!

A stunning trio of new paper-pulp vessels by Melissa Scherrer Paré (WI) sitting pretty alongside the works of Graham Mears (CA) & Brad Willis (ME)

Perhaps there is nothing I love more than seeing works of Artists I admire from all over the country, sitting in conversation in-store ❤️

2025 was a year full of “lasts.” Even though it’s just a date on the calendar, the changing of the year feels different this time around. Excited to welcome our daughter to the fold in early 26’ and to have a year of “firsts.” Grateful for you all!
