Survival Thriller
Time: 1h 41m

𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚: David Ayer

𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔: Heart of the Beast is a beautiful tribute to all the combat dogs who have survived the horrors of war, but unfortunately, the film itself feels too simple to leave a lasting mark on the genre.

There’s no doubt that Brad Pitt is a beast when it comes to acting, but the true heart of this film is Uber, who did such a great job as a combat dog. I also really loved the cinematography during the action sequences and the beautiful scenery of New Zealand. The film knows how to make its setting look incredible, and some of the action scenes were beautifully shot.

While I love the intention behind the film, I just don’t think the execution had the impact I expected. The adventure felt a bit slow and dull at times, with a lot of things that didn’t feel believable, especially considering the condition of the protagonist. It’s funny because I actually made an amateur film using one of the scores from this movie, so hearing it here kind of threw me off. It’s probably one of the most overused scores you’ll find on YouTube, so hearing it in a big-budget movie was a bit disappointing.

I also thought the ending was a little cheesy and unrealistic, and the acting toward the end felt a bit too dramatic. I wanted to see more combat montages to really immerse me in what these dogs go through and how traumatizing their experiences can be. I think that would have made the emotional moments hit much harder.

Despite all my issues, I can’t help but still recommend this because of Uber as Odin. SUCH AN ADORABLE DOG AND SUCH A GOOD BOY! He gave one of the best dog performances I’ve seen. I just thought the film itself didn’t LAND as strongly as Uber’s performance did.

Brad Pitt başrolde. Ama filmin yıldızını Odin çalabilir. 🐕🎬

Heart of the Beast – Vahşinin Kalbi, bir uçak kazasının ardından Alaska’nın acımasız doğasında mahsur kalan eski Özel Kuvvetler mensubu James Belmont ile savaş köpeği Odin’in hayatta kalma mücadelesini anlatıyor.

Director David Ayer Hails Brad Pitt’s Performance in _Heart of the Beast_ : “One of His Best”*

Paramount Pictures’ survival adventure thriller about a Special Forces officer and a combat dog arrives in cinemas on 25th September.

The upcoming survival thriller _Heart of the Beast_ , starring Brad Pitt, marks his reunion with director David Ayer. Fresh off the massive success of F1, Pitt trades the racetrack for the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness in a far more intimate, stripped-down story. He plays Special Forces officer James Belmont, who along with his combat dog, Odin, is left stranded after a devastating plane crash and must fight to survive against the elements.

Produced by Paramount Pictures in association with Domain Entertainment and Gulfstream Pictures, _Heart of the Beast_ arrives exclusively in cinemas across India on 25th September 2026.
