POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our crew was able to share one of the coolest stories in the NAIA on our broadcast. 📖

On November 23, 2020, freshman Stephen Akase tweeted that he was a kid from Africa who wanted a chance to play basketball and study in America.
Nearly six years later, on October 23, 2026, Stephen made his collegiate debut, scoring 4 points and collecting 8 rebounds!

I think the song playing in the background at Platt Arena during this piece was quite fitting. 🙌

Grace volleyball pushed its winning streak to seven on Saturday against Huntington! 🏐

Molly Hofman can solve a Rubik’s Cube and the other teams defense! ✅

Despite the Lancers being a longtime rival, their athletics department does a great job of providing us broadcasters with plenty of information. It allows us to prepare and get to “know” the Grace athletes a little better. Sometimes, we even get to throw in a few witty comments about their special talents! 😂🎙️

Brady and I have worked extremely hard to learn more about volleyball this season. As the season has progressed, we’ve been able to incorporate better descriptive language to make our calls sound more “natural.” I’d say we’re getting there! Learning and understanding terms for broadcasting many sports is tougher than you’d think! 😂

Working with Brady and calling volleyball yesterday felt like riding a bike. The Huntington volleyball team has been extremely helpful throughout the season, and FDN loves producing their games! 🏐🪓🎙️

It wasn’t the result the HUMS desired last night, but the Foresters went head-to-head with a very solid Marian side and showed a lot of growth throughout the match. Henry Heaney switches the field to Jonathan Ruiz, who collects his first goal of the season! ⚽️
Huntington can take a lot of positives from this match as they continue to build and improve. 🪓
