hi booksta!!
🌞
took a little hiatus from posting (by little hiatus I mean like 7 months lol) but I am happy to be back! i’ve been doing a lot of reading recently and feeling much more inspired than I was in the fall. Summer books always seem to have a way of pulling me out of a reading slump!
🌞
the last several months have been pretty good to me! here’s what i’ve been up to when i’m not working!
-traveled to a few places like Washington DC, Geneva-On-The-Lake, and Columbus!
-starting making plans to begin a masters program in the spring
-spent lots of time with my friends and my family
-visited a ton of cute new book stores, thrifts, and cafes!
🌞
My current read is One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune and i’m loving it so far. I have read all of her books and been in love with every one, so i’m looking forward to adding this one to that list! I hope everyone is having a great July so far and enjoying all their summer reading too! let me know what you are all reading now and what my next July read should be! xoxo

Happy Wednesday pumpkins!! Here are two mini reviews and the Halloween tag!! 🍁🧛🏽‍♀️🎃☕️🔮🍂

No major spoilers just minor plot points mentioned!! Bride: ★ ★ ★ ★
- THIS BOOK HAS ME IN A CHOKEHOLD. I simply love Misery and Lowe so much. I was hesitant to read this book because although I love my girl Ali, I’m not a huge vampire/ werewolf romance girly. This booked changed that all for me. The forced marriage, enemies to lovers, “I don’t want to hurt you” tropes were everything and more. The chemistry between Misery and Lowe is outstanding, and their ability to help Anna, find Serena, and grow their relationship made this the perfect Halloween read for me. The spice too was PERFECTION
Mate: ★ ★ ★ ★
- After reading Bride I had to jump straight into mate. Serena and Koen simply did not disappoint. I love how different Serena and Misery are, yet their humor is so similar. The mating bond between Serena and Koen I ATE up but I do fear that I wanted a little more romance than just mating bond if that makes sense? The “touch her and die” vibes literally was making me giggle and kick my feet and the banter was UNMATCHED. I do love how Koen allowed Serena in more & more. He trusts her🥲 I’m glad we got to see all our besties in the end too! Overall, I couldn’t get enough of these two books and couldn’t rate one better than the other!!

Thank to the beautiful @camilas_tbr for tagging me the Halloween tag!!
🎃The great pumpkin: What are some books that are perfect for october?
- The two books pictured above 🤭🤭

🧛🏽‍♀️ Vengeful vampires: Do you prefer a cozy romance or atmospheric fantasy book in october?
- Cozy romance always!!

🍁 Hollowing wind: What’s the next book on your tbr?
- People Watching
- The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore
- The Pumpkin Spice Cafe

🪦 Gruesome graveyard: how many books have you dnf’ed this year?
- I simply cannot dnf a book so none

🧶 Creative costume: Are you dressing up for halloween this year?
- YES! I’m hosting a party where me and my roomies are being the Sanderson sisters!

🦇 Blood suckers: what are some books that sucked you in from the first chapter?
- The Love Hypothesis
- Fourth Wing
- One Golden Summer
- Beach Read
