You’ve spent so much time thinking about how far you still have to go that you may have forgotten just how far you’ve already come.

Think about it for a minute.

The things you’ve been through that nobody saw coming. The setbacks, the disappointments, the times you questioned yourself, and the responsibilities you never imagined you’d one day be carrying.

And somehow, here you are.

Maybe life doesn’t look exactly how you thought it would. Maybe there are things you’re still trying to figure out, goals you haven’t reached, or parts of yourself you’re still working on.

But that 8-year-old version of you wouldn’t be measuring your life against everything you haven’t accomplished yet.

They’d probably be pretty amazed by what you’ve made it through, what you’ve learned, and the person you’re still becoming.

So give yourself a little credit today.

You’ve got plenty of reasons to keep going, but don’t forget to appreciate the person who’s gotten you this far.

And if someone came to mind while watching this, send it to them. They may need the reminder too.

Keep making that younger version of you proud. ❤️

I asked Michael Tuszynski what he'd tell someone trying to grow from 100K to a million in the church space.

His answer: start with the number of churches you want to serve in 10 years. The revenue comes after that.

Shoot for the stars. Even if you only hit the clouds, at least you got off the ground.

What would your 10-year number be? Drop it in the comments. Full conversation on my YouTube.

Michael Tuszynski, Brady Sticker and I all build businesses that serve the church. All three of us made the Inc. 5000.

We talked about what that list actually measures, why I used to think serving the church and building a fast-growing business couldn't go together, and what changes between $100K and $1M in this space.

Michael said it plainly. If you're here to build a huge, profitable business, the church space probably isn't for you. If you're here to serve churches, there's room for a lot more builders.

Some people celebrate where you are.

The rare ones see where you could be and refuse to let you settle.

If someone came to mind watching this, mention them. They should probably know. 🙏

This quote hit deep this morning, “Sometimes leadership means going back.”

And caught us this morning with pause.

See, most business owners are wired toward what’s next. The next client. The next hire. The next problem. The next opportunity. Just get through this one and keep moving, because progress is moving forward, right?

Well, Sarah Kuba walked us through something interesting in Acts 14 this morning that raised everybody’s eyebrows.

Paul and Barnabas had already preached in Lystra, Iconium and Antioch. Those weren’t exactly comfortable places to revisit. Matter of fact, Paul had literally been stoned in Lystra.

So, not exactly the most welcoming of cities for Christians.

And yet, in the face of all that, they went back.

But not because there was something new waiting for them there.

There were simply people there who still needed them.

Good people who needed encouragement. Teaching. Someone willing to stay involved long enough to help strengthen their faith and hope.

Sarah brought that story right into the way we lead people today.

See, we have this ability to be so focused on moving the business forward that we forget somebody behind us may still be struggling with something we thought we’d already handled.

An employee having a hard season.
Someone we trained but haven’t checked on.

A person who’s technically doing the job but could probably use fifteen minutes where we’re not asking them for anything, but simply meeting them where they are.

Sarah’s challenge to us this week was simple yet anchored in heart: find one person on your team who’s having a difficult time and spend 15 intentional minutes with them.

Not another meeting. Just be there.

Because truthfully, sometimes the person you’re supposed to lead next isn’t ahead of you. They’re actually someone worth going back for.

What an incredible week! At the 7FA Live Intensive, I had the chance to connect with several new agencies doing big things in the space, and was also able to learn from some of the best minds in the industry.
So much of my growth as a founder comes from being surrounded by this community. Thankful for the lessons, the deep conversations, and an environment that constantly pushes us to scale higher.

Y'all. After 12 years, Ministry Pass will be having its first in-person conference this October. The speaker lineup is incredible. To say I’m excited is an understatement.
