“tell me right now when you stopped believing? can I write a song to help your healing?” - ethan regan

> all of ethan’s songs have been healing for me. his lyricism and producing talent is out of this world. been looking forward to this for months. blessed + honored to have gotten to experience this. this weekend was perfect and I fear I will never get over it🫶

I got to witness and step into so many different peoples stories, emotions, loss, grief, happiness, joy, and anger last night. I found myself not being able to stop smiling as I walked through the different exhibits experiencing the sounds, people, and atmosphere. Yet, there were moments where I would see something, read something, and just cry. Overwhelmed at the stark truth, that we live in a broken world. All of us are searching for something. All of us want to be loved and heard and seen. God put that in us. He made us to desire connection. Last night, my heart broke seeing the amount of pain and misunderstanding people have towards our Heavenly Father. Pieces that mocked Him, pieces that searched for Him, pieces that echoed just wanting to be heard. God gave us the talents to be creative. To create pieces that express things words cannot. As I walked through each exhibit, I couldn’t help but get this fire for revival and encounter in my bones. Desperately wanting each and every artist in that room to experience Jesus and touch the hem of his robe. Art is infinitely beautiful and so is faith. What would happen if all the lies, deconstruction, deception, and dishonor were uncovered and the serpents head was crushed, so that truth, encounter, and love could be shown for what it truly is- Thank God I know He already has the victory. Thank you Father for experiences that break our heart for what break yours❤️‍🔥

Papa, today we celebrated your life. To be honest, I kept looking for you to get my Papa hug and talk- you were always the first person I was excited to see at family events- but you weren’t there. You weren’t there to tease me or ask about my life. You weren’t there to play with the kids or give dad a wet willy. You weren’t there to talk the best whiskey with mom, or ask when the next grandkids sports game was. However, you were there in every word spoken. Every memory shared, every photo, every laugh, every tear. Your faith for Jesus was so beautifully displayed.

Thank you for teaching me how to be brave and go after what I want in life, how to be efficient and a hard worker, how to love and care for my family. Thank you for the dad you were to my dad and that I was honored to have a dad put in my life who mirrors the man you were so well. You fought the good fight Papa and I know we made you proud today. I love you forever and always. I promise to capture every sun set and sunrise I see for you and thank you for the one you and the Lord painted tonight 💙

Truly grateful to have been part of an event like the Tartarus Backyard Ultra. Sharing that experience with my friends, family, and crew is something I’ll never forget, and I’m incredibly thankful for everyone who supported and encouraged me along the way.

That said, I’m not satisfied with my performance. I came into this race with high expectations, talked a big game, and ultimately feel like I let both myself and others down. But that’s part of the process. Every race exposes weaknesses and gives you the opportunity to learn.

All I can do now is listen, take the advice that’s been given, put in the work, and come back stronger. Thank you again to everyone who reached out with kind words and encouragement. This is just another chapter, and I’m looking forward to getting back out there and seeing what I’m truly capable of.

16 yards - 66.67 miles. I will be back.
