There is one thing that, after all these years, keeps me from getting bored with what I do:
Work will drain you. Expectations will stress you. Hatred will destroy you. Chasing success is just putting on a title.
But happiness will keep you healthy, grounded, and always on the right track.

Protect your peace. Protect your happiness.
And for me, it’s about appreciating every day.

“I can’t find nudis...” 🐌

You’re probably swimming right over them.

Nudibranchs are usually found where they feed or where they can blend in. Next time you dive, slow down and check these places:

🐚 1. Coral rubble
One of the best places to start. Coral rubble is full of tiny hiding spots, making it a perfect habitat for many nudibranch species.

🌿 2. Hydroids
Many nudibranchs feed almost exclusively on hydroids. If you find a patch, inspect it carefully: you might spot a nudi perfectly camouflaged among the branches.

🏖️ 3. Sand
Don’t skip the sandy bottom. Some species live on sand or near algae and seagrass.

⚓ 4. Mooring lines
Mooring lines are often covered in hydroids, algae, and other organisms that attract nudibranchs.

🕸️ 5. Old fishing nets
While they shouldn’t be in the ocean, abandoned fishing nets often become artificial reefs covered in hydroids and other marine life. They can be unexpected hotspots for nudibranchs.

✨ The best tip? Slow down. Most nudibranchs are only a few millimeters to a few centimeters long. The more time you spend looking closely, the more you’ll find.

Yes, there *is* macro in Koh Tao 🐌

Koh Tao isn’t just about whale sharks and giant barracudas (although those never get old). Macro life may not be as obvious as in some world-famous destinations, but if you slow down and take the time to look closer, you’ll be amazed by what you find!

From Shaun the Sheep sea slugs to tiny pipefish and nudibranchs I’d never seen before, Koh Tao has plenty to offer for anyone willing to look beyond the big stuff.

Thanks @brahimi.naim & @blackturtledive for those macro dives: 100% recommended for macro lovers! 🤗

It’s not the sunny day that makes the diving better, it’s not the calm surface that makes the diving unforgettable.

It’s diving itself, and the memory that brings you back to the island days.
