Finding Stero is not what you think it is.

Then again, neither is the film.

When I started recording and journaling my journey, I had no idea what this story would become.

Life isn't scripted. Sometimes, that's scary. But it's also what makes it exciting.

A special thank you to @thompowers1 , @docubox_eadff and @kachibenson for your insights, feedback, and contributions to this journey. Your perspectives helped me see the story differently and bring it closer to what it needed to be.

This is the first part of a three-part trailer. Instagram’s reel requirements are to blame for not letting me share the full trailer all at once. But don’t worry...I’ll be posting the next two parts over the next two weeks, so you won’t have to wait long to see how it all comes together. Something to hopefully look forward too.

When you’re so used to the whole location scout/recce > shot list/storyboard > shoot pipeline, it becomes so second nature to you, and it’s easy to forget how magical those moments truly are. It all feels so seamless when you’ve done it 9272919 times. 🤣 But I was going through all the prep + BTS shots of this shoot and WOW. It’s so beautiful seeing how everything came to life.

From hearing @directedbynatashaayoo’s crazy neo-noir concept to going on recce with her and @t.i.l.t.o.n_ to map out all our shots, angles and lighting, and finally, putting everything together on shoot day.

Filmmaking can feel like different people bringing in the ingredients to make this giant pie and fully trusting each other’s unique method to do so.

It was such a pleasure 1) filming for @njerae 🥰🤗 and 2) being on an all-female set 😍
The energy, synergy and flow was next level. We really pushed through the 15 hour shoot 😆😊
