MUSE: THE RUNWAY | SO’RADICAL

The closing collection — and the runway was never prepared. Lagos → Albany → MUSE.

For the first time, @soradicalnewyork unveils a collection crafted from exclusive fabric handmade in Lagos, Nigeria — transported across continents, adorned by authentic, hand-selected pieces from West Africa and presented on the Capital District’s most coveted runway.

The textile is rare.
The runway is hot. 🔥
And the models? Even hotter. 💦

Hand-crocheted, full of color, movement and personality — this collection was a celebration of girlhood, womanhood and the freedom to be BOTH soft + fearless.

There are some moments that just feel full.

Full of talent. Full of beauty. Full of community. Full of creativity. Full of people who showed up ready to experience something special.

MUSE: Women Who Move Culture Forward was one of those moments.

From the designers and models who brought the runway to life, to our incredible entertainment, production team, MUSES, creatives, friends, families and the beautiful crowd that surrounded the runway—you gave MUSE its energy. You made the Empire State Plaza feel vibrant, alive and overflowing with possibility.

And that is exactly why creating space for the arts matters.

We are incredibly grateful to our partners at the @nysgeneralservices @plazaevents for making room within the Black Arts & Cultural Festival for a new experience like MUSE to exist, grow and bring people together.

Because when we create space for fashion, music, dance, performance and new ideas to live alongside one another, we aren’t simply producing events.

We’re building a stronger, richer and more vibrant creative community.

And we get to do it right here.

In Albany, the capital of our beautiful New York State. 🗽

There is extraordinary talent here. There are extraordinary stories here. And there are extraordinary people here ready to create what’s next.

We are so proud to be among them.

I’m honored to see this work featured in Amsterdam News. This tournament is bigger than basketball, it’s about unity, peace, family, and investing in our communities.

🏀🔥 6TH ANNUAL “STOP THE KILLING” BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 🔥🏀

Yesterday was a powerful reminder of what happens when we believe in, empower, and invest in our youth!

Hosted by @morethanastat_ and sponsored by Table of Kingz, the 6th Annual Stop The Killing Basketball Tournament was more than just basketball—it was a celebration of youth leadership, community, unity, and purpose.

This was a YOUTH-LED, YOUTH-RUN, and YOUTH-OPERATED event, giving young people the opportunity to take ownership, develop leadership skills, build community, and create positive change through their own vision and hard work. 👑🏾

We must continue to support our youth, amplify their voices, create opportunities, and allow them to lead. The work they are doing is nothing short of magnificent, and they deserve to be recognized, supported, and celebrated!

To every young person, mentor, parent, coach, volunteer, partner, and community member who helped make yesterday possible—THANK YOU!

Let’s continue to show up, invest, and remind our young people that their lives, their voices, and their futures matter.

✂️ Braids, Confidence & Community! 💇🏽‍♀️

We're so excited that our hair braiding program is officially underway! 🎉 The Warren and Denyse Mackey Foundation, in partnership with The Metropolitan Youth Summer Camp and Braids4Grades, is bringing an empowering experience to the girls at Metropolitan NTM Baptist Church — and they are having a BLAST! 💕

This program is all about teaching young girls a valuable skill while building confidence, creativity, and community. 🙌🏽

👧🏽 Designed for girls ages 9–13
📅 Running now through July 31, 2026
🕐 Choose one 3-day session (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
✅ Campers must be registered for the main Metropolitan Youth Summer Camp during their selected week.

Thank you to everyone making this program possible — watching these girls learn, laugh, and shine is exactly what our mission is all about. 💙
