Shein just listed in Hong Kong at a fraction of its old valuation. Its founder admitted the brand itself can't drive growth anymore. So the pivot is from brand to infrastructure, plugging other fashion labels into the same fast supply chain instead of only selling under its own name. When your brand hits a ceiling, what you built to run it might be the actual product. #thetranslation #brandstrategy #productmarketing

Liquid Death sells water with skulls and heavy metal branding, to people who don't even drink alcohol. The packaging did the targeting. It borrowed a completely different category's visual language and let that filter the audience in. What category could you borrow from instead of competing inside your own? #thetranslation #brandstrategy #productmarketing

Burna Boy didn't localize Afrobeats for Western radio. He made Western radio come to Afrobeats. That's category creation instead of category competition, building the shelf instead of fighting for space on someone else's. Are you squeezing your positioning to fit a category, or building your own? #thetranslation #brandstrategy #productmarketing

Before Canva took on the design world, Melanie Perkins started with something much smaller: Australian high school yearbooks. Prove it in one niche. Then expand. If your market feels too big to attack, maybe it’s too big to start with. #thetranslation Canva Canva Africa #Canva #Products #productmarketing #gtm #startup #tomiakinade

If your product sits underneath someone else's relationship with the customer, ask what it would take to own that relationship directly. That's usually the real growth lever. #ProductMarketing #BrandMarketing #thetranslation #brandstrategy #productmarketing gtm fintech

@mcdonalds recently learned that "polished" can sometimes feel "robotic." 1️⃣ The Setup @mcdonalds CEO Chris Kempczinski took to Instagram to hype up the Big Arch, their massive new double-patty burger. This was supposed to be the big US reveal after a successful international pilot. 2️⃣ The "Product" Problem 😁 Instead of a casual, "Man, I love this burger," things got… clinical. 👉🏽 The Terminology: He repeatedly referred to the burger as "a product" and "this thing." 👉🏽 The Bite: It wasn't so much a bite as it was a cautious nibble of the bun's outer edge, looking more like a man defusing a bomb than enjoying a cheat meal. 3️⃣ The Internet’s Verdict The comments were a goldmine of cringe: "It scares me when you call food 'product'." "Is this his first day being a human?" 4️⃣ The Pivot (The Real Win) Here is where the marketing team earned their stripes. Instead of deleting the video and hiding in a conference room, they leaned into the awkwardness. For the official launch, they posted a simple photo of the burger with the caption: "Take a bite of our new product." 💡 The PMM Takeaway 👉🏽 Authenticity > Polish: We often over-index on making leaders look "executive." Sometimes, letting the awkwardness breathe makes the brand feel more human. 👉🏽 The "Anti-Launch": Burger King tried to capitalize on this by filming their CEO taking a "perfect" bite of a Whopper. The result? Total silence. People don't want a "gotcha" moment; they want to be in on the joke. 👉🏽 Own the Narrative: If your launch video goes sideways, don’t pivot away, pivot into it. Turning a viral fail into a self-aware campaign is the ultimate power move. 🎁 The lesson? Your best launches aren't always the safe ones. Sometimes, calling your burger a "product" is exactly the spark you need to go viral. ➡️ I'm documenting my learnings across design, product, and marketing. Key trends, wins, mistakes, and patterns. If you're on a similar path, you'll get value here. #ProductMarketing #GoToMarket #ValueProposition #Positioning #CompetitiveAdvantage #SalesStrategy #DesignLeadership #ProductStrategy #mcdonalds

I'm numb, by now half of the world knows what is going on in Nigeria. I saw gory videos and pictures from the #endsars Surulere yesterday, that shook me to the core as it could have been anyone, what have we done to deserve this maltreatment? I'm amazed that some people are still acting unbothered, you don't need to wait until you or anyone you know is assaulted, harassed or brutalized. Stray bullets have ended more young lives before they even started. Here are some ways to join the #endsarsnow movement; 1. Keep sharing, tweeting and retweeting verified news with the right hastags to keep the trends alive. 2. Educate those around you who does not know or understand what we are protesting about. 3. You can support financially by donating through the right channels to the cause. 4. Volunteer whatever skills you can to help out. 5. Stay prayed up, prayer is the master key. 6. Don't stay silent or neutral! #sorosoke We and the generation(s) to come deserve to live in a safe and thriving environment. ❤ + 💡 #endsars #endsarsbrutality #endpolicebrutality #endpoliceviolencenow #endsarsimmediately #endsarsnow #stopkillingus #stopshootingprotesters #stopshooting #wewanttolive #wewantasafesociety

There is a very short verse in the Bible... . They said, “The Lord needs it.” Luke 19:34 AMP . This was the disciples' response to the owners of the donkey as stated in the previous verse..33 "As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” . Putting on my power of imagination, I see a possibility of the owners having had an encounter with God about some people coming for their 'never riden' donkey. That statement 'The Lord needs it' sounds like the secret answer and they immediately let them take the donkey. Wow!!! . What is in your hand? What is God asking you to give? What is He asking you to release? . Let go and let God have HIS WAY🙏 When you allow Him, your life can NEVER be the same. . #letgoandletgod #need #totalsurrender #onlyJesus #grace #gratitude #greatoutpouringofgrace
