I WOULD REALLY LOVE FOR YOU TO PEE ON MY ARTWORK.
Yeah you read that right 😏

This design is something special I cooked up for the #kulaclothdesign2024 contest!

In my heart, I've always held a special love for collage. Throughout middle and high school, I would cover my binder for every subject using cutouts from old Teen Vogue magazines!!
It's a choppy, messy, tedious medium, and despite being a little premature in nature, produces a highly unique, one of a kind work every. damn. time.

Collage also proses a much larger conversation around image theft and copyrights, just like we are witnessing with the new technological wave of AI generators (you can thank pluto in aquarius for that one)
Think Andy Warhol. 🥫

This practice has grown into so much more for me and I am now am so so so proud to say I get to create digital art such as this AS A JOB (??? how the heck did that happen)

Every image in this piece (2021-2024) represents a special moment.
From woodsy adventures with friends, specimen examples from my first foragers class, to the beauty of BC's own Kootenay Mountains, I hope this mushy love just radiates, with a little homage to my Alice in Wonderland heart of course. 😉🍄

I captured this candid of my momma (@starstatustarot) on a magical snowshoe adventure on the trails of @tin_poppy last month.
That beauty morel that @brandon__moller holds was a mysterious one-and-only that we found creekside last May at my forever home on Cultus Lake.
(We cooked it up with some scrambled eggs and started our west coast adventures off right 🤤)
Obviously I brought my favourite @kulacloth with me… such a gamechanger for those foreign place road pees.

VOTING is open and ENCOURAGED to all of my friends, fam and followers for me to have a shot at bringing this bad boy to life!
*Must have a fb account to log in and vote!*

I'll be sharing these links and reminders leading up to the contest close. Spread the word!

MUCH LOVE,

G.
