Blessed!! What does it truly mean to be blessed!? What does Gods word teach us ? Let’s Continue our dive into Jesus Christs famous Beatitude sermon! ✍🏼

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”
—Matthew 5:9 ESV

“Blessed”—Jesus is describing someone who lives under God’s favor and approval. Peacemaking is not always easy or comfortable. It may require humility, courage, forgiveness, and difficult conversations, but God delights in those who reflect His heart for peace.

“Are the peacemakers”—A peacemaker does more than avoid conflict. Peacemakers pursue truth, repentance, justice, forgiveness, and reconciliation. They refuse gossip, speak directly and gently, and pray for everyone involved. Making peace does not mean excusing sin or tolerating cruelty. Sometimes peace requires honest correction, wise boundaries, or temporary distance.

“For they shall be called sons of God”—This includes believing men and women who belong to God’s family and reflect His character. Peacemaking does not earn salvation; it reveals the family resemblance of those who follow Christ. Jesus is the greatest Peacemaker, and when we carry His truth, mercy, and peace into conflict, others can see the heart of our heavenly Father.
