The kind of wedding day you hope for ☀️💍

Bethanie and Anthony put so much thought, love, and intention into every detail of their day. From personalized notes for their wedding party, to a special strawberry doll for their flower girl, to a beautiful bouquet dedication to her mom, every touch had meaning🩷

After hearing about so many of these details throughout the planning process, getting to see their vision finally come to life on such a beautiful sunny day was incredibly special✨

The end result? Absolutely stunning, and I’m so honored I got to be a part of it🥹💚

I’ve spent the past two and a half months thinking about what I am supposed to say when I post my wedding photos, but the only words and phrases that come to mind are “overwhelming love” & “grateful” & “thank you”. All I can think about is how special this day was & how I could possibly pay all of those involved back in some way.

To Adam, I love you so much. We have quite literally grown up together & it has been so beautiful to watch us both get older and chase our dreams. You are the most driven person I have ever met. I always knew this is how we would end up, married and exactly where we want to be. I am so incredibly grateful to have you as my husband & life partner. Our marriage is so special and wonderful to me.

To my family, I can’t even begin to explain how important it is to me that you all were involved in my wedding in the way you were. Mitchell, how many other girls can say their brother got ordained for their sister’s wedding? Corey, your readings & overall energy brought so much to our special day. Riley, who else was going to be my Maid of Honor? I love you all so much. Mom and Dad, I don’t think I will ever be able to find the right words to thank you not only for this day, but for the person I have become because of you both. You both have completely shaped me & I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Thank you.

To my in-laws, first of all, without you, none of this would have ever been possible. Hiedi & Larry, you are the best in-laws a woman could ask for. All you did for the wedding, the support you’ve shown me over the years, the memories you’ve given me. Avery, can you believe how much you’ve grown up in the time Adam & I have been together? Watching you become the young woman you are has been wonderful. Josh, I am so thankful to have a funny, caring, & lovely new brother. Although, both of you were already my brother & sister (stole that from Riley’s speech). Thank you.

And to everyone who did anything, and I mean anything, to help create the most perfect day Adam & I could imagine, thank you. We are so so happy to have you in our lives. If you came, we are eternally thankful that you decided to be part of our day. Thank you.

I am so grateful to have played Melinda 2 in the premiere of “Speak” at the New Hazlett Theatre with Prime Stage. I also cannot believe that I got to meet Laurie Halse Anderson and be a small part of her incredible journey and fight to continue having this story be told.

In the novel, Melinda’s story is told through her own eyes, many sarcastic thoughts, and funny internal monologues. In originating the role of Melinda 2, I worked with the creative team to figure out what a physical representation of this positive side of Melinda would look like, and how she would help Melinda face her trauma. A huge thank you to my incredible Melinda @ayleegardner and the rest of the cast and production team, will miss you all!
