Brandon & Jessica in their leaf-laden front yard. I’ve long believed that leaves on the ground are nice! They make it look very fall/wintery outside which I have always treasured as a Texan, where those seasons typically mean very little. When I arrived, Brandon brought me a cup of coffee and the three of us just sat around talking for like twenty minutes before I even lifted my camera. We talked about making pizza, we nerded out about cameras, learned that Brandon had been in a post-rock band, discussed how fun it sounds to be a foley artist, and plenty more. Apparently Jessica’s dad is a film prop guy in LA who specializes in watches and cameras (a very rad job!!) anyways, I love photographing strangers! It’s so fun to start with a totally blank slate and just go for it. There are so many strangers to talk to that I feel like I’ll never be bored // part of the Front Porch-rait series
