The show must go on…

Due to some unforeseen circumstances we’re gutted that Yaya Daily won’t be able to make it out to camp this year AND a few of our teachers are in far off lands , BUT that’s okay, we’ve called in some reinforcements😍 so now on Thursday’s Cookies and Cake show we’ve got Opal and Bast and Opal is teaching some workshops on Friday during the day as well (schedule post linked in comments) and Friday’s Floorshow now features Brandy Night in the lineup! Make sure to come out and support these incredible performers and show them how grateful we are😅🥹❤️

Gasp! A duet!?

That's right folks! It's the Frisky Feather Fan duo, Amelie Ahmose, and Brandy Knight! Amelie is one of the producers of Frisky Business, and clown with Fou Fou Ha Austin. Brandy is a member of Frisky Business, and an instructor, and producer at Black Box Creative. Together, they bring feathery fantasies to the stage as a fan duo, with rhinestones, and fringe flying!!

💫 Clip from the choreography I learned in @jessthndr 's class during @texasburlesquefest using my @jahireen boa! This boa may have been big for the class size, and I was already exhausted (this festival was NON-STOP), but it's the only boa I have, and it still worked beautifully 😊

Shout out to @brandy.knight.x for filming me!

Black Box Staff- Ersa, Elle, Sarah, Maria, and Villanelle
In a world that profits off of keeping us all in a state of war with our bodies, one of the most powerful things that queer and femme folks can do is simply to cultivate a practice of loving ourselves & having a great fucking time in our bodies. Black Box staff & instructors Elle, Ersa, Maria, Sarah, and Villanelle invite you to join us in a celebration of pleasure activism inspired by Janelle Monae ‘s Age of Pleasure tour. Get ready to get 💦💦💦

Jacki moon is a veteran instructor at Black Box Creative, co-producer of House of Deviance, and your ex-girlfriend’s favorite ex girlfriend.

Madame Renee is a rising performer who brings confidence, sensuality, and stage presence to every act. With a background and love for dance, she moves either both precision and purpose. Choosing a path that challenges convention, she continues to claim space unapologetically- her presence both a performance and a quiet act of rebellion.

Brandy is intoxicating by nature, irresistible by choice. She’s the kind of burn you’ll beg for.

A lover of all things showgirl and burlesque, she nerds out over the rich history of the art form. She swirls and twirls all around town, you can find her getting frisky with @friskybusinessburlesque or catch one of her burlesque classes at Black Box.

We're having our first Burlesque showcase, but in true form, it will be laden with PROTEST!

The art of the tease has consistently faced censorship and whorephobia, and its roots are deeply satiric. Context shapes meaning, and we invite you to imagine how making art with your body protests oppressive norms and challenges authority.

Join us as students and staff move with resistance!
