Bet you didnโ€™t know these LOCAL films are currently showing in cinemasโ€ฆ and nope, theyโ€™re NOT directed by J**k N**. ๐Ÿคซ๐Ÿ‘€ And guess what? Some of them are redeemable with SG Culture Pass credits, meaning you could catch a movie for FREE?! In THIS economy?! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’ธ Plus, with the haze outside, the cinema is the perfect place to escape, chill in the aircon and catch a good film. ๐ŸŒซ๏ธ๐Ÿฟ ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Get Showtimes & Tix โ€” link in bioโ€จ#Movie #Haze #SupportLocal #SG #Singapore Malcolm, a middle-aged former drug offender fresh out of rehab, turns to long-distance running as he attempts to rebuild his life and mend his fractured family relationships. #Pace #่„š่ธๅฎžๅœฐโ€จ As a reporter uncovers the mystery behind an aging violin legend and her treasured instrument, a forgotten story of love, war and music that spans 80 years emerges. #TheViolinist #ๆฒงๆตท็ดๅฃฐ When an online rumour starts that Marvel is looking to cast its next big superhero out of Singapore, Sandbox, a struggling stunt training school, is suddenly inundated with hopeless wannabes hoping to become movie stars. With only a week to make them look good, can the Sandbox team turn these zeroes into heroesโ€ฆ and maybe save themselves in the process? #TheSandbox #ๆฒ™็›’่‹ฑ้›„ Four adults and a newborn eventually find themselves sharing a cramped HDB flat, and the resulting family is constructed under pressure rather than by any clean definition of who belongs to whom. Space tightens, money moves unevenly, responsibilities shift and relationships have to adapt. Family here is not simply inherited or chosen; sometimes it is something you build because life has put you in the same room and asks you to figure it out.โ€จ #WeAreAllStrangers #ๆˆ‘ไปฌไธๆ˜ฏ้™Œ็”Ÿไบบ

This is DARK WAVE. You belong. And speaking of belonging, ใ€ŠTHE SANDBOXใ€‹is for all the dreamers out there, for everyone who has chased their goals no matter how difficult it was, for all the hopes and dreams of a brighter day, for all the ambitions of those who have been told that their aspirations are too big. And for you, Singapore. When I first thought of what to wear for The Sandbox Gala Premiere, I just knew it had to be local. But don't support local just for the sake of it. Support local because it's good. Support local because Singaporeans are wicked talented and do cool shit. And I'm sure you'd agree if you checked out some authentic Singaporean movies so please do watch @sandboxmovie.sg, @pace_movie and @weareallstrangersfilm, and let us know what you think!! Check out @sightlinesco too! And I'll see you at the movies. ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป styled by @thegrumpysocialist wearing @darkwave.conceptstore

A dream come true, shared with just some of my Day Ones. ใ€ŠTHE SANDBOXใ€‹is out in cinemas now! It may be a mockumentary with some of the best comedy and wackiest moments but it's also a very, very real and sombre story about the difficulties of local businesses, told with a lot of heart. And that's the magic of @jamesthooyc that brought together such a wildly talented and passionate team. You will laugh. You will cry. And I promise that you'll have the most enjoyable time supporting local cinema. See you at the movies! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป styled by @thegrumpysocialist wearing @darkwave.conceptstore

Day 2 since we opened officially in theatres, here's a throwback to some of my fav unit stills by @nicholasxlee @nico_withacamera Now as we drop in on theatre-showing to surprise and thank the moviegoers, and as a result getting to watch the tail end of the movie each time again, I'm even more viscerally grateful for this film and everyone who worked, invested, supported, performed, produced, coordinated and made it happen, allowing the space to continue on living in another way. Every set of eyes that sees the film is yet another mind which the space will live on in another form in the world. Gosh, I miss the space so much these days. Not being able to drop in any time to see the familiar faces, and train with the team for the past 3 weeks has been surreal. And i'm sure everyone in the active team has been grieving in their own way too. Sigh. Where do I put all these feelings crawling over my chest, reaching down into my gut, wrapped around my throat.
