Looking for a great breakfast before visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour? 🥯☕

Just a 20-minute drive away, Brass Monkey is a brilliant brunch spot that's well worth the detour.

There's plenty of outdoor seating for sunny mornings, as well as a spacious indoor dining area if the British weather decides not to cooperate. The menu is exactly what you'd hope for from a good brunch café, with all the classics... plus one standout dish that immediately caught my eye.

🥪 The Salt Beef Sourdough Sandwich.

It was absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. We also ordered the smashed avocado & smoked salmon on sourdough, which was fresh, generous and equally satisfying.

Expect to spend around £15–20 per person, which feels pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.

A little local fact that makes the menu even more interesting: Radlett has one of the largest Jewish communities in the UK, with around a third of residents identifying as Jewish. The village is home to a synagogue and several cafés, Kosher bakeries and delis where you'll find excellent bagels, salt beef sandwiches and other Jewish-inspired favourites. It gives the high street a unique food scene that's well worth exploring if you're in the area.

One more fun fact: Simon Cowell grew up and lived in the Radlett area of Hertfordshire as a child,

Whether you're heading to the Harry Potter Studios or simply passing through Hertfordshire, Brass Monkey is a lovely place to stop for breakfast or brunch.

Now the important question... are you team salt beef, or would you choose smoked salmon instead? 👇

What started as a simple idea - creating a relaxed space where young people could ask honest questions about careers, CVs, interviews and what to do next (all for free) - has turned into a fully booked session for a second time!

That means a lot ☺️

More sessions coming soon!
