Toronto’s own Brat Star has released her new album ‘Southern Ontario Gothic’ been a fan of @brat_star ‘s since I saw her perform at standard time in 2023 opening for @loukeman (who co-produced many of the songs on this album), with @dyltwosix (who created the shirt she’s wearing in slide 1 & the album’s artwork on slide 2). not posting her here to pigeonhole her in any genre - but because she’s incredibly talented & I really loved listening to this album front to back this week (she’s also a really great DJ). artists like @brat_star make me very excited about the current music landscape here in the city. Congrats @brat_star on your new album release <3 First photo by me for First Class Fest at Cafeteria in Toronto

@brat_star’s new album, “Southern Ontario Gothic,” is out today. If your interests include Wes Anderson characters, David Fincher’s perfectionism, and extremely specific cultural references, you’re in good company. Ahead of the release, we caught up with the Canadian DJ and songwriter in Barcelona to talk about “doing it for the heads,” her Virgo-fuelled writing process, and finding joy in a White Claw and a pair of Dirty Hokas. Get inside Brat Star’s head in our interview, available in the Highsnobiety App. Interview and video: @andrea___mena Photography: @yannis_konstantinos

We are so excited to welcome @brat_star to ROAM! Brat Star is the Canadian producer-singer-songwriter whose pop songs transform cultural icons into personal mythology. Blending cinematic textures with the raw immediacy of SoundCloud-era bangers, her music unfolds like a series of dramatic scenes. W.W. excl NA

@palomawool brought Margot Tenenbaum to Paris Fashion Week.
