I asked, and you delivered.

The response has been overwhelming. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your Village Gravel experience.

Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing your stories—because they capture what this community is really about far better than I ever could.

Enjoy and Thank you. I love this community!

Destin wrote something that perfectly describes what we’ve hoped people would feel:

“The race itself was a blast, but what stood out most was the community vibe around it. It had that ‘small race with a big heart’ feeling.”

He added:

“Already excited to watch this race grow, and I’m signing up for 2027. If you’re on the fence about gravel racing, this is the kind of event that makes a great first one.”

Hes done a lot of mountain bike races and a handful of road. This weekend he was thrilled and so excited. I asked his thoughts...simply put...’Mom, I love my mountain bike and racing.... but that was THE MOST FUN RACE I’VE DONE!’

Thank you for creating this race, I know how much work it takes but I’m so thankful that you did.

After Saturday experience I am still on a high I refuse to come down from, your event was the second race I have ever done, I have been riding for only 10 months my first race was the Prescott punisher in April I was considering doing the Chino Valley Grinder until another rider mentioned your event, location I quickly chat my mind. I competed in the 30 mile, the best experience I’ve felt and accomplished.I have been sharing with family and friends co workers. The venue and vendors the volunteers the community everything and everyone was top notch and will forever be grateful for this I look forward to 2027 and again thank you for what you do for everyone we as a biking community thank you!!

Meant to catch you on Sunday after the kids race, but awesome job with the race this year! As a first timer, instructions were clear, the course was marked well (one 60mi flag was down, but we figured it out 😂), swag bag rocked!, the energy was fun! I think it’s going to continue to grow and be a big event! We’ll keep spreading the word down here in the Valley. 🤘🏻

You can feel the energy all weekend long.

From Friday night’s Fat Tire Crit to Saturday morning’s start lines, the finish line party and everything in between — Village Gravel is so much more than race day.

It’s the people, the noise, the racing, the high fives and everyone who comes together to make this weekend what it is.

A huge thank you to our partners who believe in Village Gravel and help us keep building something special in Flagstaff.

This is Village Gravel.

The best lead out in gravel.

Red Bull MINI up front. Hundreds of riders behind it. Neutral rollout through Village Camp before the road opens up and it’s GAME ON.

The nerves. The noise. The wheels rolling. That feeling when an entire field starts moving together and you know the day is officially ON.

This is race morning at Village Gravel.

Already ready to do it again in 2027.

NEW SEASON. NEW LOOK. SAME AMAZING COMMUNITY. 🚵‍♂️💙💚

We’re so excited to unveil our new race uniforms and practice jerseys for the 2026 season!

And while the new gear looks pretty awesome, this post is really about the businesses and organizations you see represented on those practice jerseys. We truly couldn’t do what we do without our sponsors.

Their support helps give our riders the opportunity to train, race, grow, and be part of something pretty special. To each of our 2026 sponsors—THANK YOU for investing in our riders and supporting youth athletics in our community! 💙💚

Now it’s time to put those new uniforms to work! 🔥 Our first race is September 13 in Flagstaff, and we can’t wait!

Let’s go, CCUSD MTB! 🚵‍♂️🏔️

We had an idea.

Put a fat tire crit through the middle of Village Camp the night before Village Gravel.

Fast. Loud. A little chaotic. And way more fun than we imagined.

Friday night set the tone for the entire weekend.

And this was only Friday.

Village Gravel 2026. What a night.

What an amazing weekend at Village Camp in Bellemont, AZ for the 2nd annual Village Gravel bike races!

Thank you to @villagegravel and @relentlessaa for inviting us back to help the riders recover after their races and to join in for the post-race celebrations. And thank you to @villagecampresorts for hosting another epic weekend race event.

See you next year!

VILLAGE GRAVEL WEEKEND — PART 1: THE FAT TIRE CRIT

What a way to start the weekend.

Friday night we took over Village Camp for the Fat Tire Crit — and it turned into exactly the kind of slightly ridiculous, ridiculously fun bike racing I hoped it would be.

Fat tires. Fast laps. Dirt, pavement, corners, heckling, music, spectators lining the course and riders absolutely sending it.

We had first-timers jump into a crit just to see what they could do. We had seriously fast racers battling at the front. And we had a crowd that figured out very quickly that standing on the sidelines and being quiet was NOT the assignment.

What I loved most was that it didn’t feel overly serious.

It felt like bike racing should sometimes feel:

Fast.
A little chaotic.
A lot of fun.

And a really good excuse to get everyone together before Saturday’s big miles.

Huge thank you to all the riders for helping us bring this crazy little idea to life, and to everyone who raced, cheered, heckled and hung out with us Friday night.

Village Gravel weekend had officially begun.

And we were just getting started.
