One of the many joys of live theatre is going with friends, such as Molly Read Woo. We’ve been friend since the Biz Chronicle days in the 80s. So grab a friend and head to the Fox Theatre to see Hamilton, playing until the 20th. It is everything you’ve heard about — and more. @broadwayatlanta @bravepr @thefoxtheatre @hamiltonmusical #hamiltonatl #atthefox #travelwriter #friends

Now playing @thefoxtheatre A revolutionary story of passion, unstoppable ambition, and the dawn of a new nation. Hamilton is the epic saga that follows the rise of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton as he fights for honor, love, and a legacy that would shape the course of a nation. Based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography and set to a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education. Hamilton features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.

In addition to its 11 Tony Awards®, it has won Grammy®, Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors

My brother went to Hamilton College so my family always liked Alexander. So I’m excited to go to the Fox Theatre tonight to see the epic play, Hamilton. More than 28 million people have seen it as Hamilton fights for honor, love and his legacy. Hamilton will be at the Fox until Sept. 20. @broadwayatlanta @thefoxtheatre @hamiltonmusical @bravepratl #hamiltonatl #broadwayatlanta #atthefox #travelwriter #livetheater

A night at @thefoxtheatre is ALWAYS a good idea, especially when a Tony-award-winning "Best Musical Comedy" is showing. 😂

Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta presents "SPAMALOT" for a limited one-week engagement at The Fox Theatre from July 21-26.

SPAMALOT, which first galloped onto Broadway in 2005, features a book & lyrics by Eric Idle and music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle. The original Broadway production was nominated for fourteen Tony Awards and won three including Best Musical.
It is HILARIOUS! Go see it.

Every few years one should be reminded of the genius of Monty Python, and that’s why I’m thrilled to see Spamalot tonight at the Fox. Need some laughs. @broadwayatlanta @thefoxtheatre @spamalotbway @bravepr #spamalotatl #broadwayatlanta #atthefox #livetheater #travelwriter

The first time Delaney Benson went on as The Lady of the Lake, she had all of an hour’s notice. And honestly, that fits her “put me in, coach!” vibe. Chatting with Delaney about Spamalot, GTA, her love for tap dancing, and her excitement to finally perform professionally in her hometown was an incredible delight. Not pictured: The moment we finished the interview, and I realized it was actually her birthday! Check out the ArtsATL article and an in-depth, podcast version for ATL Arts Collective at the link in my bio!

These two know a thing or two about candles! Cameron Monroe Thomas (Babette) and Danny Gardner (Lumière) took Candleporium Fragrance House’s signature candle-making class at Atlantic Station, pouring wax, crafting stories, and illuminating the space with a little Broadway magic. Come see them light up the stage in Beauty and the Beast at the Fox Theatre through this Sunday! 🌹
