3 years ago today, my son Jace was welcomed into this world and it changed my life. Not only am I blessed to train the next gen @optictexas champion but I get to watch you grow everyday. You and your sister are the greatest things that ever happened to me. You’re such a kindhearted, goofy, and brilliant little boy and you amaze me and your beautiful mother time and time again. You make me proud to be a dad. Happy Born Day Champ, Daddy loves you more than life itself 🖤🎂

A version of the cover after I tried to get Chat to create an animated version after seeing the animated version @demond_dushawn created last week. It was NOT a success. I like the art style / texture as much as I liked the other but SOME of the failures:

1. Chat changed the steel whipe to a chain

2. It made the demons in the background into a completely different type of creature

3. It put 3 horns on the one in front

4. It changed the mask styles on the character I wanted to represent @samowukb (on the right) and @instrumentbeing (on the left)

Fun exercise but I got nothing I loved animated over the weekend. This is why I would much prefer working with a human on this.

Got a dope 9:16 mockup for an image of $amo's character fighting a demon and two drafts for the cover to issue 2 though! I'll share those in days / weeks to come.

I tried to get a 9:16 of Zo's character but that's still coming out funky. I was going to work on one for deMond's character next. No time to keep playing with that though so on to the next.

Let me know if you know some dope humans who might want to collaborate on a comic book for the series. I have seeds for a story bubbling...

In the meantime, check out the single DreamWorks on GRYSKLL's Bandcamp & Patreon.

@samowukb has, in many ways, brought @thebeggaz back to the attention of the broader Wu-tang community. He's been reigniting Wu-tang and Hip Hop fans interest in the collective with singles like "Untitled", "Chi Chi's Revenge" & "Sitting on the Edge". With beats from @djkingceeonthemix who produced our song "On the Strength" that was featured on "@rza Presents Wu-Tang Killa Bees – The Swarm (Volume 1)" and visuals from @oohneye he's made sure the world know that @thabeggasoffical is in the building.

Like $amo always says "Word to Wu Chi" (our founder Father Lord).

Salute to $amo for his commitment to those originally known as "The Shaolin Clan" who practiced Wu Shu on and off the mic.

Kung Fu Kids is available via Bandcamp,
SoundCloud, YouTube, Patreon, Substack & our website.

“Golden Glock” (snippet)

The time was 1993. The group known to the wider world as @thebeggaz was going by the name Shaolin Clan. Our founder, Father Lord, had built an impactful bond with @rza as the two shared a lot in common. Exceptional producers who loved soul samples, intelligent eMCees with supreme self styled wisdom, fans of martial arts films (Lord was a seasoned martial artist at the time) and both were building creative empires.

Father Lord’s journey on this plane was cut short by a drunk driver. Today the group he founded is a collective of wide ranging talents. Another one of the greatest stories never told is coming to light through the individuals who carry the legacy forward.
