Vegas to Reno race report! I qualified 12th on Thursday and felt good about that position. Went through tech without issue. Race start was Friday at high noon! I caught and passed a few cars fairly quickly and was running in third for my class on corrected time. I got stuck behind another driver that just would not move for the siren and push to pass button. They went through a mud puddle that was more like a concrete mix which destroyed my visor for the rest of the race. I ultimately had to pull over and swap helmets with my co driver so I could see!Then I had 4 mechanical issues that kept moving me further back in the pack. I ended up finishing 25th out of 64 entries and my personal best Vegas to Reno finish in this class. Can’t wait until next year to try again! I gotta thank my parents for continuing to support these amazing adventures while also putting me through flight school! Next up is my co-driver Junior. He has really stepped up his game and I’m blessed to have him in the right seat. Now onto our pit crew for this race. Anthony, Cam and Johnny with the fuel were on point. My parents with the box trailer making sure everyone has what they need when they need it from rooms and food to parts and a pep talk! Then we had Travis and Scott who are down for wherever needs to be to done. Brayden and Connor for prepping the car and Scott Baker for helping out ever time we were at the same pit. Last and most definitely least Doug @angrymonkey52 who went to Walmart during the race and Ubered himself to McDonalds the night before. He also somehow managed to get a flat tire sitting in his parked truck. Last but not least our imbedded media guy @broken.shutter.media and our on course media guy @owenrussselll got great content!
