It's hard to believe 25 years have passed since that horrible day. For those that don't know, this was two weeks into my freshman year at Wagner College. I watched the second plane hit, watched the smoke, and saw the buildings fall all from my dorm. For a few hours we didn't know if my grandparents were on one of the planes, as they had left for Vegas from Boston at the same time ( they were diverted and grounded in Chicago) I'll never forget the smoke, the smell that lingered in the air for weeks, how scared we all were, and how sad it all was and still is. What sticks with me most though, is how strangers came together and cared for each other. We were the lucky ones. Never forget those that ran toward the danger to try to save others, never forget the innocent people just going to work, never forget the ones flying to a new destination that never made it. #neverforget #25years #i❤️nyc #iloveny #nyc
