🎄 @ryanmcpartlin sat down with Catherine to chat about his latest movie, Silver Bells at Christmas, streaming now on @greatamericanpureflix and debuting tonight at 8/7c on @greatamericanfamily! 🩷

Ryan shared how special it was working alongside co-stars @lauraosnes (and how this role was perfect for Laura) @chuckwicks and @realdbsweeney, the many reminders this story offers for our own lives, and what he takes away from each of his projects personally. He also shared how @brandonclarkfilms made it possible for him to join the cast when Ryan wasn’t sure the timing would work out—and why Brandon is such a powerhouse! 🥹🩷

Catherine and Ryan also took a little trip down memory lane, chatting about his memorable guest-starring role on @fullerhouse, his own life journey, and how a conversation with @joshduhamel helped shape the direction of his career early on.

🎬 Don’t miss Silver Bells at Christmas! It’s the kind of movie you’ll want to watch over and over again, discovering new nuggets of wisdom and meaning with every viewing. 🎄✨

"My uncle took me aside and said 'Brian, this writing skill you have is like a musical instrument. Don't just get good enough to be in a garage band. Get good enough to be in the symphony.'" @BrBird shares what happened when a self-described wallflower kid kept saying yes to the adults who saw his talent, from the teacher who first told him he could write for a living to the great uncle whose connection to the TV show Fantasy Island led to a script that paid more than his year at the newspaper. Brian also describes what he has learned about friendship on Hollywood sets, and what went into “The Story of Everything,” a five-year documentary featuring thirty scientists.

MOVIE THEME MONDAY: Jo’s Theme from A Little Women’s Christmas 🎼
Here are three variations of Jo’s theme, each reflecting a different point in her character arc.
This is by far one of my favorite aspects of film scoring: taking a single melody and allowing it to evolve alongside a character.
John Williams once said something along the lines of, “Once you have the melody, the rest of the music sort of writes itself.” I think the same can be true of a film score. Once you have a theme established, the rest of the score can feel like it writes itself. I know that sounds simplistic but I think there is definitely some truth to it. Go check out “A Little Women’s Christmas” on Great American Family. #moviethememonday #alittlewomenschristmas #greatamericanfamily #greatamericanchristmas #tylermichaelsmithproductions

Spent last weekend in one of my favorite places with some of my favorite humans ♥ Incredibly grateful to get to be a small part of the team behind the scenes that gets to help bring so many memorable moments to the #hearties at @heartieshfr 🫶🏻 my heart is oh so full.

It was four days full of the best memories: incredible guests from the casts of @wcth_tv and HV 1874, stories from set, a top tier radio hour performance, tea at hycroft manor, boating around vancouver, a super sunny hope valley, finding my new favorite canadian super store, and realizing we will never learn when it comes to giving the casts props during the panels.

Thanks for the memories as always 🇨🇦. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing weekend with the @heartieshfr on location @jamestownmovie and @localitybrewing ! So many incredible stories and such dedicated volunteers, producers, crew and producers. @denise.jaden leading the way to the cave!! The best BG in the business ! All of them so generous to help and share stories with the fans. @pattybird5 a lady who works year round with the admin team to produce such an amazing event and @brbird always so generous with your time, sharing stories of how this show called, “When Calls The Heart,” has been filming for 14 seasons in Langley BC. @vivleacock and his family - honestly you will never meet a nicer family and to share such a special day with the fans, what an incredible experience for everyone. @magnusson1343 the one who makes the magic happen every day, there is so much happening every day on set and he is like a air traffic controller - landing the plan day in and day out. I am excited for @cineventure_ca to create options for people to see all the amazing film locations around BC and right here in the Township of Langley. #HFR10 #hearties #tourismlangley #localitybrewing #cineventure
